new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

Well I currently only have those 3 games listed in their own thread (so the title appears in the search thread). I will mention if something special pops up for those that read this thread.

I'm gonna be in home theater audio bliss next week so I might not sort through everything right away.

It's all good you should take some time to enjoy yourself, I'm in no hurry anyways. Lord knows I already owe and I'm working on another huge buy to pay for the next two months after Christmas already.

So it would just be stuff I'd have to sell to buy, but I always liked that sealed Shadowman 64 game even though the Dreamcast version seems better after playing both.

I definitely know but I also know it would still be sealed for a long time 😊 Which is almost sad since it's such a great and seriously overlooked game.

Yes that is the reason for selling. Many of these I might not even get to, they deserved to be played.

I definitely wanna pick up MKR at some point, but at its current going rate going to have to be some kind of partial trade to get me to ante up. I don't think I could stomach that much cash going out for one game! Not nearly on the scale of that time @Lunar picked up Keio though.

I need to sell a few things, I have spend way to much money lately. Let me know if anyone is interested in a Turbografx 16 or CDX. I will probably putting my 20" PVM up for sale but I will probably sell that locally.

Ikegami TM20-17R. Yea I got it off a guy out of Baton Rouge. I really don't need it since I got a OSSC, it has been just sitting there.

I liked Light gun games alot...until I no longer have access to a CRT.

Keio was prob my most expensive purchase, right next to Wondermega, which I bought and sold twice.

First off, I've been told that snarkiness is one of my better features. Second off, my intent was to better publicize Gypsy's sale 'cause I know how much y'all like to buy ol' video games. Neverthess, I truly apologize for coming off as rude to Gypsy or anyone else in this thread; y'all are a pretty cool bunch of cats 'n' kittens. cool smile

I can't blame you. I can't even hold onto anything worth $200 anymore generally. I still have stuff like MKR but I got it cheap.

I have a separate CRT for light gun games. No need to ruin my entire setup with inferior outdated technology when I could have that pixel precise, perfect rectangle, no scanlines, no convergence problems, bigger than 20" image at the cost of a few ms of input lag.

Any reason to have this when I have YouTube red /music unlimited? Better quality?

I prefer to not listen to my music on Youtube, for sure. I think Spotify uses Opus for audio streaming? When you kick it up to high quality it sounds very very good, and the music selection's basically like an instant digital library with JUST about everything you'd want and some really on-point music suggestions with the Weekly Mixes, great for discovering new artists or unknown favorites from ones you already knew. Deadmau5 - Polaris is probably my Crap Where Was This All My Life song of 2017, heard it balls deep (45hrs) into my Persona 5 playthrough (Great feature of the PS4 to be able to dump game music in lieu of Spotify when you need a break!)

I've never regretted paying for Spotify. It's a solid service to support, and if you don't mind ads even the free version's alright, you just have less control over what plays when (only so many skips per hour, etc)
