Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is

. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

You should.just let it's holiness wash over you and simplify your life..as it will be the only game you need for weeks. Sometimes I almost get overwhelmed with what game to start next, no prob when you're in the middle of one so biG lol.

Gundam Origin is nearing completion (heard episode V is the hotness but I'm just going to wait for a release with all the episodes) and a new Unicorn blu release is coming. These along with Victory Gundam and I'll have all the stuff I for sure wanted.

Did you watch the series or the oav? It's the oav getting released. I'll form an opinion on it when I watch it but I definitely want to try it out.

First episode of the series, it was during the whole DirecTV webcasting debut, decided to check it out since it was coming up on Adult Swim. Finished it and I was like "Are yoU SURE I'VE NEVER SEEN THIS SHOW"

Model 1 or model 2 genesis? Also do you have Saturn hooked up with scart? model 1 or model 2 as well? My model 1 acts perfectly with her cable. All 3 of my model 2 saturns get some audio noise when using her scart cable. I believe the determining factor for me will be the 32x output as I believe it wont matter that my base unit is a model 1 since it still has to go through the 32x.

Sega CDX so model 2 cable. Saturn is Model 2 as well. Saturn looks great no isses. CDX has lots of noise and jailbars.

Maybe I just got a bum cable for my Saturn from her then, its supposed to by good with either model, but since all 3 of my model 2's act the same I am inclined to think its something with the cable. @Lunar what are you using for a scart cable from your model 2

I actually just encountered a problem with Saturn last night, I get some minor video noise, just some flickering lines but it was annoying. At first I thought it was the OSSC, I tried YPbPr and same issue persisted. After connecting OSSC directly to TV via HDMI, the noise was gone.

I'll have to mess around with the DVDO some more to determine the exact cause, never had issues woth Saturn before. As far as where I got the cable, I will have to check my records.

I'm starting to wonder if I really need the DVDO, OSSC is more than competent on its own.

@Gypsy will always be the father of DVDO to me.

Last night while I was watching @sharif play Pulse Man, I was messing around to see what's the best way to play PS1 games, I have a PSOne with Sony LCD, PS2 via SCART to OSSC, and OLED Vita. I think LCD has the weakest colors. Vita is really good if you're ok with a smaller screen. OSSC looks damn good, but blowing up PS1 pixels isn't the best idea.

I chose PSOne with LCD screen as the best way to play my official physical media. If I wasn't stuck to physical I'd say Vita or PSP is the absolute best way. I did beat Legend of Dragoon and FFVIII on my PSPgo and they both looked amazing.

PSOne screen has terrible black levels and you have to almost be straight on to it to get a decent picture, but the games do look nice on a smaller screen. I plan to beat my dozen or so PSOne RPGs on the LCD combo. I'm playing FFVII on it right now and it looks good small. You almost don't even see the pixelization on a small screen like that and it actually kinda looks kinda sharp.

isn't it hard to see little things like materia ? though I suppose if the picture was sharper it would be alright.
