new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

I think the Nomad is region locked. You'd have to mod it or Game Genie it.

I am not 100% sure its region locked, but you would definitely have to mod the cart slot at the very least.

This is basically every Tales game. I couldn't even get more than a few hours into Zestiria. Damn I'm a great salesman crapting on a series when I'm trying to sell games.

$9,000 for magnetic media. I mean, I'm pretty damn stupid* but this takes the cake.

I hate finished Xillia.

I legit enjoyed Vesperia, Destiny, Eternia, Symphonia and there might be a couple I'm forgetting.

I'm hesitant to cheat in RPGs. If you take out combat, you are left with a mediocre storyline clumsily written. I'd rather just watch a movie.

berseria was pretty fun, but if you didn't like zesteria i am not sure, i haven't got to play it yet but i really liked berseria, the characters were "ok", velvet was pretty cool i suppose. nothing like persona's characters which are just so memorable and alive. the combat is pretty fast and was pretty good. it would rate higher for me most years but this year was such a resurgence for rpgs.

^^ If you are talking about Action Replay plus @Gypsy thanks. I might end up selling my US saturn games and going for a nice little Saturn Jp RPG collection. I'm currently looking at purging 3DO, Xbox, US Saturn, and WiiU. Trying to favor anything that can be portable. Genesis with Nomad, SNES with RetroBoy even though it's not official I get it, but still kinda cool.

This is the cheapest one for just playing other region games

You can get the same thing with extra RAM or mod your own Action Replay Plus too, but I dunno about any of that nonsense.

All of my feels and I'm only on the first blu-ray disc (at the end of it). It's got me by the balls. Appreciably better than the original. Which, was worth watching but I don't think I'll rewatch it.

Yeah I am. If you just want to own a copy of the games it's a really cheap route to go. I might still have some JP region RPGs lying around.

Let me show you a game called The King of Fighters. 1 or 2 of them you have to have an official RAM cart (so a Japanese or region switched Saturn too) to get it to run. Not a huge loss but it's the only time I've even encountered an extra ram game that won't play with the 4in1.

The blu-ray is effing incredible and the animation is pretty damn good for a 51 episode TV series from the 80s. Of course you get the same general experience with quality rips if that's the route you want to go.

And yeah, I'm just not dumping my original series blus because of what I mentioned before where I really just do not sell anime or movies that I get unless I hate them. If I ever NEED money though, they will be one of the first things to go up on eBay. Though games sell much faster than anime so I'd very likely reach any financial goal long before any anime I listed would sell.

Plus, having Origin, the original, Zeta, ZZ, Char's Counterattack and Unicorn all on blu is gonna be pretty awesome.

I have KoF95 on my AES, only KoF I've played, and I can definitely see how people became so obsessed and loyal to that series. Very well crafted.
