new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

Not sure I agree with the art, the characters look tons better to me in 2, music is pretty much a tie, but from the bit I have played of SoR I was sorely missing the additional moves the characters had in SoR 2. SoR3 on the other hand fails in all of the above, but I still want to beat it someday.

(like, the pixel count and sprites are larger, I just didn't like them as much) <- had to add it lol, because it looks better, but I liked it less. It's hard to explain, with SoR being a new favorite a lot of the sparkly affairs of the second didn't hold much meaning to me anymore.

I will say Round 5's boss fight is retarded and you have to cheap it, at least when you're playing the girl. But getting to Round 7 is the biggest payoff the game has. I love Round 7, so very much. I can imagine the streets below the building by the time you make it to the top, the only elevator stage in the history of video games I can remember that isn't utter crap

I think I need to make a Genesis Perfect list, if I had ten games I could have and keep for the system...

Shadow Dancer: The Secret of Shinobi
Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master
The Revenge of Shinobi
Castlevania: Bloodlines
Streets of Rage
Shining Force
Light Crusader
Gunstar Heroes
Elemental Master
Ys III

I'm pretty firm on that list.

It's a slick shooter, not usually a fan of vert shooties but this one's exceptional imo.

I'm serious, if it's available, I'll pony up for it. I don't want to trade $100 worth of crap to get it but I'm definitely looking for it.

No manual is fine, I prefer it actually, brings down arbitrary values.

Available and wanted lists are fully updated, NES/SNES items are very low wants rn, as I have neither system. Xbox also low want as my system needs to be cleaned or fixed, but Genesis titles are high wants.

Just a note, she's not in gorgeous condition but she works just fine. Just fired it up not terribly long ago this year to play some Destiny. Think someone doodled in the Xbox 360 etching on one side, worst of it. It's in one piece otherwise.

I just want a cheap back-up system so this is fine. Gonna see what I can pry out of @Lunar including that Ys III...

These are the ones I've never beat myself. My votes would be Zelda second quest, Rygar, X-Men (choosing X-Men over AI because someone will be mad we always pick Nintendo Entertainment System games)

Or we can pick SoR and everyone will be done by Jan 2.

Shining Force 2 is way better than Shining Force 1 and somehow Streets of Rage made your list and Shining Force 2 didn't?

I may not have finished a Shinobi game yet but I believe I beat the first 2 streets of rage games and they were okay .....

Never played Shining Force 2. If I haven't played it, I don't know if it's on my Must Have list.

Remember, this list is not exhaustive. It's just my personal Top 10, if I had to pick 10 games to have and to hold forever in sickness and in health, those are it right now. Two years ago, SoR would *not* have made the list.
