Dollars to donuts braveheart has no need for another copy, so he's thinking about how much he would have paid for it around the time he got his copy.
when I see NES games now I sometimes mentally check against what I paid for mine 10 years ago... it's probably why I'm so surprised to see them selling for 2x or 3x what I did; and of course wishing I had held onto my copies.
