Just want to throw out there I am after the white new 3DS (not the xl). If you have one complete with the box in excellent shape lmk. Look at my listings, I also have an Iscan HD+, Vizio Soundbar and probably other things in my collection to trade. I would trade my launch aqua with blue soft case as a trade up also.

Thanks for the input. Yeah I feel once you have something that can handle a Scart connection it wason't going to be huge. The main thing for me with OSSC is I'd be happy with DVDO it just didn't work with my OLED so I hope OSSC does. Plus I look forward to trying the line tripler and scanline options with it.

Banjo Kazooie is one of my favorite games. Those first 5-6 levels I've played many times, but never beat it. But I am on the 2nd to last stage, Rusty Bucket bay. And have died a few times. And the thing that kills it for me is you lose all Note progress each time you die. So I have to run around the entire stage again. Perhaps that's why I never beat it haha. And I look at videos of the final stage and it seems to be a ton of very hard platforms high up in the air. It looks more frustrating than fun.

I think it's been an awesome year overall for gaming. There have been a bunch of great games for 3DS, switch, Vita, and a couple for PS4. At the end of 2017 I'll look back at it as a big gaming year.

I'm sure there are some good cheap ones. If I were ever to buy an xbox (I won't) it would be Scorpio for Forza. It looks amazing. But I think I can patiently wait as PS4 games continue to look better and better and eventually for PS5.

I love FFIII. But I played FFII so many times. That first 10 or so hours of the game is engraved into me brain and gives me special feels. It was my first big RPG where I was so impressed with the music, characters. etc. You could say it was the game that made me fall in love with RPGs.

Ok top 5 Super Nintendo time. Even though I do own some of these on later portables I will list them here since this is where they originated. Some RPG gems of all time on the Super Nintendo indeed.

Earthbound
Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy II (4)
Secret of Mana
Shadowrun

There are so many others but if I had to list 5 that hit me the hardest. With the most memorable music, characters, game design, story. It would be these. I mean I had to leave out masterpieces like Super Mario RPG and Final Fantasy III.

I typically like less dialogue in my RPGs so I understand where you're coming from. But I will tolerate higher dialogue games like Trails of the Sky.

Another DWIV love'er! I recall a person or two after a Nintendo Wii U in this thread. Well I am selling my Nintendo Wii U and have some very minty RPGs and top collectable games for U and Wii. Will post in Classified soon. I can't even keep up with new releases too many good games so taking another shave.

I hope the SNES Classic is able to be hacked as well. If I could end up with an NES and SNES classic hacked it would be a nice way to play a lot of those translated RPGs making them feel somewhat official because of the nice menu system with pictures of game boxes and the official Nintendo controllers. It's something I'd consider doing.

I STILL have not played Oath. I know it's a remake of III. But Ys Seven and Celceta are 2 of my recent favorites. So I know I'll love 8. I've got to beat DQVII, Metroid and Ys VIII all b4 Mario comes out.

I would start with Alliance Alive since I heard it is the most feeling like a super Nintendo RPG. If you are just looking for general recommendations Dragon Quest VII and VIII are must plays. And Stella Glow is the best sRPG on the system, and one of the best sRPGs I played in a while. Again mainly because it scratched an "olden days" itch for me. But it's a top quality game. Even though it's not a true RPG Zelda Link Between Worlds is a fun short little game with a great use of 3D (if you are into that like me)

So on the subject of NES. Was the NES classic ever hacked in any way where you could use it as an NES emulation machine? That would be pretty awesome with it's little controller.
