Someone on my life in gaming responded to my question about getting saves back on to the cartridge and mentioned the Super UFO Pro 8. Which is a cheaper everdrive style option. This might be the solution for me since I don't want to buy a retron. If I can play translated roms then later save it directly on an import game cart that is my goal.

I mean it's an interesting thought. But I think the fact that Sony didn't continue to pump out big 1st party titles for it was the main reason. I don't know the numbers but don't a lot of people just shop online.

heheh I don't need it in box, but I do want the label to be in VG condition. based on sold prices $35 - $50 is fair. I don't go by what's currently available I go by sold prices. Pristine loose sold for $50, so did a sealed one. Loose has sold for $35 - $40.

I was reading about Shining Force III it seems instead of a straight story it's more like multiple view points of the same story. With some parts skipping certain chapters. Is that about right? I think I'll be ok with just playing the US released game. Or at least I will hold those off until way in the future. got so many US RPGs to tackle.

it's got everything and it's pristine mint. This condition would probably go for $110 - $120 on ebay. If I was home I could post a picture as well. won't get home til 8:00 am.

Yep it is on the radar, haha. Gonna focus on the US collection but import Sega Saturn stuff is def on my mind. I probably need to knock off more of these I currently own off my backlog first. First thing is I'm saving my US Sega Saturn games until I get my framemeister in. Until then I'm pretty much just playing Game Boy Advance and Microsoft Xbox 360 haha.

I really wanna get that AR and a Jap game or two just to try it. So, Sega Saturn recs please.

I really would like to start with something import friendly. I'm going to resume learning the language this year so I can play RPGs later. Anything with RPG elements would be amazing. So even though I don't love shooters one with RPG elements = win. I think my preference is a golden axe style arcade 2D brawler.

Ok thanks, yeah very curious if I can keep the US SFIII and "complete" it with Scenerio II and III without any problems. I'd sure hate to miss the "Arctic Blast!!".

Well how do Scenerio II and III work. Do they read the save file? And if that's the case, if I intend to actually play all 3 should I not have all 3 the Japanese versions?

Torn on Sega Saturn, cause I def want to get some Japanese import RPGs since I remember reading gamefan back in the day being jealous of some of the RPGs I knew weren't coming over. But the cases don't match US cases, and the games are way cheaper than US versions. Thinking of just having a Japanese only Sega Saturn collection, lol.

Does Pseudo Saturn have a save feature? So in order to play patched roms one would burn the patched game on a disc right? Not sure exactly what I want to do yet but I'm considering buying some Jp RPGs and just playing them with a guide (which I'm pretty much doing for most games I play any way).

I just like to have the games on my shelf. I don't have any Jp games yet but if I started I'd def start with Saturn. With SFC being #2.
