Holy crap, it sounds like the US version was designed and meant for nobody to beat it, ever.

I just finished MM9 last night. Man, the Wily's stage music was so cool. His battle was pretty inventive too, except when they got to the wash, rinse and repeat capsule fight in his 3rd form. And yeah, I don't think 10 will live up to the quality of 9 either, but I do like the option where you can play as Bass or Proto Man right out the gate in the Legacy Collection. But this music tho...

I've been having a ball with Sonic Mania. It's made me feel like a 6 year old kid again firing up my Genesis. The boss fights are so damn unique and fun, while the stages can be relentless and challenging. The soundtrack is a very cool retro remix from the original stages of the earlier games and the entire game feels like a culmination of the greatest Sonic stages from Sonic 1-3 and Sonic and Knuckles. I just wish Marble Hill Zone was in here somewhere. I loved that stage and it's music. I'm about half way thru the game and can safely give this an 8 so far. Well done, Sega. Shock the world and keep up this momentum! yes

I finished Mega Man 8 on the Legacy Collection 2 the other night. Man, I haven't had that much fun in Mega Man in a while, even with the hilariously bad voice acting. In fact, that's what made me appreciate it more. Now I'm playing Mega Man 9 and having the utmost love/hate relationship with it. It's the hardest Mega Man for me since the first one, even with checkpoints and extra armor. Damn those spikes and disappearing platforming sections!!!

These are great, everyone. I just picked up Sonic Mania last night and shame on me for forgetting the classic retro Sonic soundtrack. Chemical Plant Zone all day!

I didn't have an issue with all that in 2 as much as I did with how they butchered the Mandarin in part 3. They could have capitalized on Iron Man's nemesis, yet flopped him half way thru the film. I thought that was a big slap in the face to all the fans.

Agreed. I also thought 2 was pretty cool, 3 was just hot salty garbage. It's on the bottom of my MCU list right next to Thor: The Dark World.

Nice cut yes I think it would have been a little better too if someone like Ryder turned out to be a descendant of Shepard, but I think that may be asking for too much at this point.

Mass Effect Andromeda Sony PlayStation 4 Pro I can safely give this installment and 8 in my opinion. I literally couldn't stop playing it for weeks and finally just did the last of the story missions yesterday. It's not my favorite Mass Effect, but it's far from a bad game. The characters are likable. The exploration is spot on and the missions are diverse and fun to accomplish. I'm just glad I waited until patch 10 to indulge in this because in the early days of release I heard some horror stories in terms of glitches. Thankfully I didnt encounter any in my time with it. But overall I can see where they can go with this new trilogy if it ever comes out of hiatus. And a helpful hint for those interested in playing it, choose the female Ryder. The male Ryder sucks donkey balls.

Mega Man 7 PlayStation 4 just got the legacy collection 2 the other day and beat MM7 last night. That last Wily fight was as enduring as I recall, even with checkpoints. It took me more tries than I can remember to finally beat him. All I know is day turned to night and I was still battling him. I suck but persistence prevailed! Now I'm on MM8 and am so loving it. I never got a chance to play it back on the PS1 days.

Honestly, for me as of late it's been this in it's entirety. I am listening to it as I type this:

With, of course, an honorable mention to any of The Legend of Zelda soundtracks.

I'd be down for some online matches. I am usually on for an hour or 2 every other night playing a single player game (currently Mass Effect Andromeda) but can split up some time for a few Tekken 7 matches. I feel I won't last long anyway since I kinda suck a$$ lol

Well, I just turned 30 so in the past 12 years, even without nostalgia, there have been some pretty heavy hitters for me. Here's my top 10. I am only counting mainly single player games with single player campaigns because there's multiplayer ones such as Left 4 Dead and Rock Band I lost countless hours of my life to after I turned 18, but I think this list would merit my single player experiences over my multiplayer ones. Below are my top 10 with my numerous honorable mentions:

10. God of War III - PS3
9. Pokemon Pearl - DS
8. The Witcher III: Wild Hunt - PS4
7. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves -PS3
6. The Last of Us -PS3
5. GTA V-360
4. Batman: Arkham City-360
3. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots-PS3
2. Red Dead Redemption-360

2. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion-360
3. Gears of War-360
4. South Park: The Stick of Truth-360
5. Super Mario Galaxy 2-Wii
6. The Witcher II: Assassination of Kings-360
7. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow-360
8. Dark Souls III-PS4
9. Mass Effect 2-360
10. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood-360

I am super excited for this as Metroid: Fusion was one of my all time favorite Metroid games but I am wondering if this will unlock with the current Samus Amiibos on the market or will it be unlocked with a new Amiibo exclusively for the new 3DS game?

Well, it's good to know it takes a lot of deaths for that perma-death thing to kick in. I was a little worried about that too. Is there various difficulty levels or is it one standard base difficulty setting?

Super Metroid and the NES Super Mario Bros. back to back. Classico. I really hope the new 3DS Metroid: Samus Returns kicks it up a notch and manages to recapture the essence of old school 2D style Metroid games while at the same time adding in some cool and fresh new features. From the videos I've seen it does look promising so I am keeping my fingers crossed it does not disappoint. I have faith in MercurySteam. I did enjoy their Castlevania Lords of Shadow games and Mirror of Fate on the 3DS as well.

Holy crap, I was just about to post something similar to this! I have been playing Andromeda non-stop for the past week. I really do not know why this game got so much hate. It must have been because of the bugs and glitches before the 10 patches that followed because other than that yes, I also think it's a refreshing take on a new Mass Effect universe and could be a great start to a new trilogy. Right now I'm on Kadara and cannot leave this and each new world until I 100% restore it to form. I love how each world has it's set of faults and hazards that you need to figure out how to clean up and handle to restore it to viable condition. The characters are likable too. I chose female Ryder and she's pretty cool. The combat is also pretty top notch for me. I'd give it an 8/10 thus far, even though I still have a ways to go to the end.
