Finally saw Kong Skull Island. It was great. I'd give it an 8. Kong was a fierce, tough but a fair king. Loved the connections to Godzilla too. Can't wait for that mosh up. Also whoever was in charge of that soundtrack was the real MVP.

I am playing Nier: Automata now myself. The opening prologue was incredible. It was like a mix of Galaga, Gundam and Zero Wing all in one right before you were on foot. Combat on foot is great too. Love the Bayonetta esque dodge parries. Can't wait to dive into it more tonight.

Horizon: Zero Dawn - such a, rich, lush and rewarding experience inside and out. Not only a true feast for the eyes but for the soul too. It is the beautiful result that you get if you combine everything you love from The Witcher, Tomb Raider, Far Cry and a hint of Uncharted. I truly did not want it to end so I only played 1 mission a night and did all of the side quests I could. I still may go back as I feel there is just that much more to discover and take in. 9/10.

I am actually about 2 story missions away from beating Horizon myself and am really impressed here too with the entire game as a whole. The story alone could be it's own blockbuster movie and those graphics are indeed wickedly spellbinding. Especially on an HDR TV.

Saw Beauty and the Beast last night with the fiance. I'd give it an 8. Spot on. It was a lot longer than the original but felt like the additional scenes and songs were well implemented. Still managed to capture the magic as the original did I thought. Also I did not know it was Obi-Wan and Magneto as the clock and candelabra. I couldn't tell the was them until the very end. Great performances all around. My only gripe was Emma Watson as Belle somewhat felt a tad off. Her singing was possibly auto tuned too but still sounded great. Now I can't wait for the live action Lion King movie next as that's my favorite animated Disney film.

Final FANTASY XV - * PS4* Finally finished tonight. Clocked in around 40 hours. If any game can fill my KH3 void it was this. The series of final battles had me in awe. What a grand spectacle. I've been waiting for a FF game like this my entire life. Action JRPG KH style. Simply exemplary. I would give this an outstanding 9. Now off to get my flying Regalia X and call it a day.

I pretty much felt the same way. It had the potential to be so much more, but ended up being that much less. It's a shame too because I was beginning to dig the lore within their alternate world too.

Wow. Sadly, I have to agree to disagree with almost all of what you said because I simply adored the movie, but try looking at your spoiler part this way:

I also thought the clone was stupid until I realized that it was just a prop. No name, no attempt to combine it with an existing character, just there to kill. It worked because it was as if Logan had to face himself, at his worst, to earn the right to die and even then he needed Laura to deal with the threat.

It worked well by not overdoing it or trying to hit you over the head with the symbolism. I loved that it murders Professor X and that the last thing Logan says to him is "it wasn't me!" because he knows deep down that he Chuck might think it was possible that it was.

I mean I truly thought I would mind that whole X-24, doppelganger Wolverine, but after I let it sink it, I didn't. I took that as a reference and personification to the inner most demons inside of Logan coming to life in physical embodiment. By him doing almost everything in his power to try to take down that feral beast, it was almost as if it was purifying and cleansing him. So in the end he ended up doing the one thing he never thought he could. Just an alternative point of view if you're interested in seeing one. :)

Well that stinks. Wonder why they cut that useful feature.

100% of what Anthony wrote. I'd just finish with Infamous Second Son as the cherry on top.

I am getting BOTW on the Wii U and always enjoyed using the gamepad with Zelda games. I think it's because it allows for easily accessible inventory and map controls for me when using the gamepad as a 2nd screen.

I knew that this game would be epic, but had no idea it would score an average above the likes of GTA V and Super Mario Galaxy overall on Gamerankings which have been in the 97% range for quite some time. It even averaged higher than the often coveted OOT. This may have broken the mold and I cannot wait to experience it tomorrow. I heard it's a sequel of sorts to Twilight Princess too and after this game should unify the complex light and dark timelines into 1 solid timeline. Very exciting!

Just wait until you get to the later chapters. The game continues to out perform itself until the very end with over the top insane moments.

Can't wait to fully commit myself to it now! I think I've just been waiting for a FF game with a Kingdom Hearts esque combat system and this is it for me right here. The world is gorgeous and vast. I spent 20 minutes doing a side quest last night that just involved feeding a cat and would do 10 more like it. It's just so much fun. Those hunts are relentlessly addictive too.

Final Fantasy XV PlayStation 4 - I am only on chapter 2 and already I feel like this is the FF game I have been waiting for all of my life. From the addictive combat to the exploration to the pretty HDR graphics, it is shaping up to be a mighty 9/10 for me.

Watch Dogs 2 Microsoft Xbox One 7/10 - I enjoyed this game for the most part. The story was very tech savvy and had a bunch of likable characters in the protagonist ensemble. There were plenty of tech and gadget enhancements and new additions from the first game here too such as an RC car and flying drone which came in handy more than once. My complaints lie in the graphics department and some frustrating combat at times with the controls. IMO Ubi really needs to upgrade their graphics engine for their games. It's time. I feel like I could have appreciated the bay area scene a lot better if the graphics didn't look almost the same as the 1st Watch Dogs. It was weird, though. During the cut-scenes the graphics were better than during actual gameplay. Other than that it was a solid sequel. Some of the song selection too was great. It even had Judas Priest and Megadeth on tap and being a huge metal fan that was spot on for me.
