This is a re-post of the original BTR I had placed on Peter McCarthy. Peter assured me he was taking care of the issue but that has still not happened.

I agreed to purchase this toy from Peter in November. I mailed the money order on November 12th, 2004. I have asked him if it has been received and if he has shipped with no reply. I brought this up with my bank and have been provided proof that he cashed this money order on the 23rd of November. I will have a scan of both sides of the cashed money order on Monday showing his signature, etc on the back.

His address and phone number are logged:

Peter McCarthy
119 Phillips st
Quincy, MA 02170
Phone: (617) 770-3**5

I need to allow 30 days before the bank will pursue this on my behalf. This time has long elapsed as of December 13th, 2004. I will provide Peter with 30 days from today to take care of this issue before I pursue action through the bank.

It's only a $10 deal but since I use tracked and insured money orders, I might as well see what happens with that.

Peter, a little communication would have avoided this issue completely.

This BTR will come down once this issue is resolved.

*Update*- I spoke with Peter the other night on AIM. He told me he would paypal me my money back but since the other report is indicating this guy doesn't have paypal, that isn't going to work, apparently. * wry smile *

Thomas and I pended a trade on August 21st, 2003 involving his Spyro the Dragon and Jersey Devil-- both PSX in exchange for my $8 paypal; payable through his friend, Mallow's father. I paypalled the money over on August 22nd. Since that time I've received a few e-mails from him, despite him not logging onto the site, saying he was going to send the games soon, that he couldn't find one of the games so he was going to send some money with the other one, and another e-mail saying he was sending.

It is now confirmed for me that he has not shipped. I doubt much will come of this game-wise. However, I'll be filing a complaint with paypal this Saturday in the hopes it may spur this user to send this stuff.

This e-mail will be left here until this trade is completed by him or payment reimbursed. Should he return to the site, he can enjoy the view.

Update- October 19th, 2003

I spoke with Mallow in chat. He will have his father reimburse my paypal money. This BTR will come down as soon as that happens.

We agreed to trade some of my subtime in exchange for a Banjo Kazooie manual and nothing has arrived. He received the subtime at the time the traded was pended. Although this is a very small trade, it certainly reflects on his not taking care of his trades. It appears several other traders are also having issues with Ben's non-compliance. I'll remove this report once Benjamin has contacted me and compensates me for this deal.

Nick and I made a trade involving his Sega CD package in exchange for my Colecovision Package. Nick claimed to have sent back in early January. Nothing showed up but he kept in good e-mail contact. I expected he shipped surface which may take up to 6 weeks to arrive so I felt I would help the trade along by shipping the Colecovision stuff early to him.

I received an e-mail from him explaining that both packages had come back to him and he would re-ship the Sega CD stuff at the beginning of February. To date, nothing has arrived and I have not received any e-mail replies to the letters sent to him.

I'm aware he is online but is apparently avoiding gameTZ and replying to e-mails.

This report will need to remain until Nick writes me back and the Sega CD stuff arrives.

i don't think clay is a real bad trader but obviously we have unfinished business that has been avoided from his end for too long.

here's the story...

Clay and I made a trade last spring involving his game gear games and some accessories in exchange for my oddworld and resident evil: director's cut (psx)

my end of the trade appeared to have been lost in the mail so i replaced it with metal gear solid, tekken 2, and a psx multi-tap. i express-posted this to him to have the deal done and to make up for the postal problems. all was done until....

...a little while later, the original package showed up at his door also, apparently delayed by an error by the post office. i told him to play the games and we'd work something out in the future on the extra stuff he now had.

we had talked from time to time, but in the fall i wrote to request that he just return metal gear solid and tekken 2. he agreed and said that he shipped on september 22nd. a few weeks passed so i e-mailed him to see what was up. he said it must've been lost and i said we should give it a month anyway, in case it was misrouted like my package was. a couple months passed. his e-mail was down again and he was reformatting his pc but said he was going home for the holidays and would get back to me after that. nothing.

i wrote him again in february and was told that he just had to get his metal gear solid back from whoever had it and would get back to me. nothing.

i wrote again on march 11th and i was told that the friend of his that had his metal gear solid was dropping it off and he'd mail it asap.

here, i was told that he had mailed it a few months earlier and now his friend has it. hmmm...

i've heard nothing back from him since so here i am now. luckily, i still have all of the e-mails saved here. this has been a small, nagging issue for too long and the misinformation in his e-mails is disturbing after having gone through them all..

i have e-mails to confirm this all.

this report will come down when the games really do get mailed and arrive...hopefully that will be soon.

btw, the games are all still listed on his available list.....

james and i made a deal at the end of january involving my gran turismo 2, wcw nitro, and some wrestling action figures in exchange for his dC memory card, beavis and butthead tv talkers and $25 USD.

the talkers and memory card arrived in good time, but the $25 was absent from the package. i e-mailed him to see what was up with that and was told he was a little low on cash and he would send it in a couple weeks. this was no problem for me so i shipped out his stuff, which he recieved.

a few weeks passed so i wrote to see what was going on with the cash. i was told he was getting some paypal money and he'd send later that week. cool. not cool...nothing showed for a few more weeks so i wrote once again to see what was happening. no reply. i caught him in chat and he said he got the e-mail and disappeared. i wrote again to find out. still no reply. it's now been several weeks and i have gotten no feedback from him at all in regards to the money so i guess i need to post this.

i'll take this down when the money shows up. here's my address for reference:

some communication would have prevented this report. i tend to be a very patient and understanding trader. it doesn't help that he has so many pending deals made since that involve cash on his part.

UPDATE

today, april 17th, i've decided to edit the ratings i gave him when i expected he would hold up his end and ship the cash. seeing as how he is logging on often again, he is obviously aware of this and has taken no action to correct it. it's too bad since half the deal showed up in great time and he has only lagged poorly on the cash part of it with no explanation or e-mails.
