| Canceled: 28-Apr-2009 5:03pm by Porksta Porksta's Reason for canceling this trade:
| Game was not described as being Canadian version, and as such I didn't want it. We both agreed to cancel the trade. |
halo_bender's response:
I'm am extremely frustrated with how this trade went down.
I sent my end of the trade as agreed only to have it sent back to me because the cover and manual included information in both French and English. This is by Canadian law, and in all other ways the version of the game is the exact same game as the American version.
Reviewing Porksta's trade history reveals that he has dealt with other Canadian traders in the past; I find it very hard to believe that he was unaware of this small difference in Canadian and American versions of games until now. It was not as if I was deliberately trying to hide the fact; He didn't pose any questions or concerns about the version of the game -- which I would have gladly answered -- when the agreement was initially being worked out.
What angers me most about what occurred here however is that Porksta is refusing to take any responsibility, suggesting I'm the one who breached the trade terms and trying to strongarm me into accepting the situation without any compensation for postage.
I strongly believe what Porksta' did in this situation is just not right and will be filing a BTR against him until he agrees to compensate me for postage. Ultimately it's up to the mods to decide whether or not that BTR will stick, but regardless, this is not behaviour I think anyone should expect from a gold star trader.
If you're looking for a hassle free trade with someone who can be trusted, avoid Porksta. |
