For those of you who have never participated in a reverse or "Dutch" auction, here's how it works. Prices shown are what you can buy the game for! Seem high? That's the point! They're based on the high end of recent ebay sold listing for items in similar condition, where I could find them. You don't actually want to pay that price, though, so every so often (probably 2 times a day for the duration of the auction), I will drop the prices on any items that haven't sold. So instead of bids increasing the price, the price starts at the highest it will get, and goes down over time. You jump in when the price matches what you're willing to pay for it. Jump in early and pay too much, and you'll be the laughingstock of your neighborhood. Wait too long, and someone else may snatch it up, and you'll have to go visit THEM and ask permission to play a game you should have rightfully bought!
This next part is very important: To place your bid/buy an item, you must send me a private message with the words "OFFICIAL BID" in the body of the message, and list the items you are buying
Including the currently listed price is helpful, but not required. If you have questions, ask them before you bid, especially if your decision to purchase is based on the answer.
In the event that two people send a bid for the same item, I will use the time stamp on the private message to determine who messaged me first - that person will get the item. Note that a post in the forum does not count as a bid, nor does an offer sent through the offer system.
To keep things simple to maintain, only a private message with "OFFICIAL BID" in the message body will count. We will obviously create the trade through the offer system after we finalize the details. Feel free to ask questions in the thread or via PM. I will only put the items on hold for you once you send an "OFFICIAL BID" message
I found my digital camera, which is way easier to take decent pictures with than my tablet, so there's pictures for EVERYTHING this time around. (Thank Rojocapo for requesting this).
Shipping costs are NOT included - see the bottom of the post for details. I'm pretty sure you all are tired of reading already and want to get to the goods, so here we go. Note that for this week, everything is complete with box/case and manual unless otherwise specified.
SOLD OUTUS Shipping:
The prices do NOT
include shipping. With the exception of the complete Sega CD games, and the Genesis games with cardboard boxes, shipping within the US will be $3.50 shipping for the first game, and $1 per game after that. They will ship first class in a bubble mailer if I can fit them. If they're too heavy for first class, then they will probably go Priority Mail. They will not be shipped Media Mail, as video games are specifically excluded from eligibility for Media Mail. Due to additional protection required for the Sega CD and carboard boxed genesis games, those will ship in boxes, and will be more expensive. They will count as your initial shipping cost, and other games will be $1 more.International Shipping:
The shipping price will be whatever it actually costs to ship. I am happy to give estimates to anyone interested, and I highly recommend getting a shipping estimate prior to buying anything. International shipping costs have gotten insane over the last few years. Also, please note that while I am willing to ship worldwide, I do not falsify customs forms.
The package will not be marked as a gift, because it is not a gift. I sympathize that you may not like how heavily your government taxes imported goods, but that's not something I am going to get in the middle of.Payment:
Prompt payment is appreciated. If you are a bronze star trader or below, please pay for your items upon confirmation. If you want to add more to your order, that's fine, I can hold off on shipping until you're done bidding. If you're a Silver Star trader or higher, I am a little more flexible on payment time. I just don't want to have people claim a bunch of stuff and then back out of it later for whatever reason. If you message me stating you will buy, I am considering that as binding as winning an auction on eBay. Yes, there are people who back out of eBay auctions, but they usually end up getting blocked by the seller for any future items.Users with active BTRs:
This should be an obvious thing, but I will not accept any offers from you if you have an active BTR. Get that cleaned up first. If you have money to spend, send it to the user that you ripped off instead of trying to buy new stuff. Item Condition:
Most items I would consider good to very good. One game is an re ex-rental and has those metal stickers, a couple games have some things written in the manual, etc. The pictures do a pretty good job, but if you want specifics about a particular item, please let me know and I can provide additional pictures or other information.
Auction will run for about a week unless I feel like closing it sooner (for example, if I think everything worth selling has sold). Week 3 will likely come next Saturday morning.
Week 3: Saturn / PS1 / N64
Future Weeks (order not decided): PS2/3/4, Game Boy/Color/Advance/DS/3DS, Dreamcast/GameCube/Wii, Anime (with Media Mail shipping available!), and maybe even Board Games (with "HOLY CRAP IT COSTS HOW MUCH??" shipping available!)
