Where do I even start? I joined here when I was 19, after being tired of just buying stuff on Ebay, and joined after a web search(I'm not even sure if Google was a thing yet.) I never would've thought I'd still be here after all these years but I've cherished (almost) every moment. This site has watched me grow up from a kid that really didn't have many friends into someone who has so many friends it's hard to keep up with, especially on GameTZ. Most on here really treat me like royalty, even though I'm a passible trader at best. I know I'm not perfect, but I always come through.
Thanks to everyone for treating me like part of the community even though I've been such a pain in the ass over the years. Thanks for the memories, the deals, the friendship, the support you give me on every little project I try my hand at (yes i'll be doing youtube vids again soon). I love all of you guys, and I don't think I'd be as happy as I am without all of you. You lift me when I'm down, and keep me in check when I'm being a moron. I'll be here till the end.
And a big thanks to @bill for putting up with my crap for so long and not murdering me.
GTZ has seen me through lots of shenanigans, hijinks, etc. so I thought I might run a few down here, most of this stuff yall might not remember. And no, these are not good things for the most part.
The big one: Me meeting a user here that was going through a divorce and we started flirting and chatting, talking on the phone etc. and I sold all my games to get a plane ticket to see her. At first it went fine, but then she broke up with me halfway through the week and I still had to sleep in the same bed with her. There was a big fallout from that nonsense, but I won't get too into the details. But at 20 she was my first, and I at least appreciate the experience.
30+ BTR's: At one point in the 2000s I got kicked out of my house and was living in my car, while being sick with pnemonia and had a troubling few months. Of course there were people really pissed off and there was a whole big blowout in a thread about it. But when I came back home I made every one right, and took my punishment. Once I had gotten them cleared up, Bill even once called me the poster boy for resolving BTR's. I'm just glad I straightened it all out and most people don't even remember it at this point.
Coincidentally, I also wound up ripping someone off on digital press, and forgot about it. Turned out it was Pat the NES Punk, and once I found that out, I paid him back too.
The Loans: Yup, my favorite fudging subject. I really got myself in a huge mess that time, and it took me I don't know how many years it took me to pay off, but I did it. Some were genuinely concerned, others just wanted to see me go the way of others who had taken loans and ran, but I was never going to give them the satisfaction. I'm now slowly learning to manage my money better, and sell things instead of borrowing. I hated the mess I was in, but take it as a very valuable lesson.
The Stupid Videos: This is one of the few positive stories here. I had just gotten put on disability and house arrest around the same time. House arrest is very expensive and disability doesn't give much, so I jokingly made a thread saying I would do stupid crap for money and to my surprise GTZ stepped up and commissioned a ton of videos, and some even sent me money just to help me out. The videos were very crigney for the most part, but some are fondly remembered, and I do occasionally have people ask me if I'll ever do them again.
FU Wavyboi: So one thing that happened with the stupid videos was that I got sent a dildo for a review, and it was used as a prop in a couple other videos. And when Wavyboi ripped everyone off I was given his address and I mailed the dildo to the address with a note that read, "Dear Wavyboi, Fudge you! Sincerely, GameTZ."
