Picked up this collection recently. They are all preliminary paintings, but there are some fairly spectacular films represented. Hope you enjoy.

I get so full of anxiety every time I see this collection. I almost wanted to filter you so I wouldn't see these.

The reason why is I'm so scared that you will take these, break them up, and try to sell them off. These preliminary sketches are so incredible, and the fact that you have so many from one artist of such signifigant standing is fudging incredible.

These are one of a kind. Ideally they belong in a museum or massive collection somewhere where they will be preserved for all time. You are on to some really amazing stuff here, and the though of his legacy being broken up and scattered or whatever really stresses me out. I saw these last night before I went to bed and I had a hard time sleeping because of it. I'm starting to tear up when I think of what could happen to these.

Please please don't break these up. Please find a place that can house these so that they can be viewed by everyone. These are so fudging beautiful. Maybe a museum or something could take them and you could get a tax write-off on them.

Or, crap, I know people that donate them to a museum under the conditions that they have somethign that says "on permanent loan by xxxxx" and into the deal they get into the museum for free for ever, etc.

This is a really incredible find; so many by the same artist. And these are the SKETCHES of the final versions.

Painting paintings! Hand-painted by the legend himself. The drafts are fantastic, but the final, published works are simply out of this world. There is a reason why he was so heavily involved in the film industry in the 1960's.
