Going to camp tomorrow morning, after see if I can get a LG Blount or Marcellus! Wallace (Bennett) jersey on clearance at the pro shop. Interested to see Cooks and new guys in action.

Anybody else checking out their teams in camp?

We also decided that while we still like the Falcons, the Eagles are our favorite NFC squad.

Despite the fact that they lost the KC, Patriots will still make the playoffs. Their division is SOOOO bad, there's 6 wins right there. Then, they will just need to win 3-4 other games and go 10-6.

My god the internet sucks. The SB "going undefeated" champs lose week 1 and most articles online are about suspensions, investigations and how terrible the NFL is. How do we get new writers? Not clicking isn't working for me.

Miami's not bad. They're probably better than last year with Cutler.

I think KC wins the division. The loss of Berry hurts but I think KC has the best Offense/Defense combo out of the AFC West

Denver's D is good, but their O is ? at best
Oakland's O is good, but their D is ? at best
The Chargers, well, are in the division too. (j/k their O isn't too bad, but I don't know about their D)
KC showed last night that, yeah we can give up yards, but we can also put up yards too..

Chiefs fans should feel very good, it's clear they have the offensive and defensive parts and strategy to beat the Pats even in Foxboro at full strength in a big time game atmosphere, no doubt to me.

Couple things KC should pay attention to:

-Andy is excellent strategist and planner, needs to make sure he manages game situations and clock as well as the best coaches.
-Coaching also keeping players from going nutty on violent hit penalties and getting too hyped causing offsides, procedure, too many guys penalties and such. (NE had 12 men D call too!)
-Played so good on big plays, running and 4th quarter, but penalties cost them hard in first half, so gotta watch that.

A very fun opener though.

PS: Maybe we get to pay attention to regular season games now, Saints and Texans coming up, some issues. Exciting!

Feels terrible not just for the team but for Berry himself after he fought back to get where he is. Chiefs actually have okay safety depth but you don't replace a player like Berry.

Reid definitely cooked up a good one. In the first half Alex wasn't particularly great but you could see how the plays were causing guys to get open. Also once Hightower was out the Patriots speed in the front seven of their defense looked awful.

As for the penalties obviously that has to be cleaned up but otoh it was great seeing the Chiefs win a big game against a quality opponent while losing in penalties and turnovers as well as not really having a strong special teams performance.

He got 6 carries, and Payton looked clueless on how to use his backs. Cook looked mediocre minus garbage time.

Interesting week 1. It will be more interesting seeing how everything pans out.

A lot of talented rookies. Fantasy will be tough his year.

Browns actually looked decent and I'm hopeful for that young QB. Pitt's defense looked improved over last year and I'm not worried about the offense. They will come together as the weeks go by.

You know it's a good week when Patriots lose the opening game at home!

How about those Jags? I'm excited to see some of these rookies doing good things. Fournette looks promising for their offense.

I'd like to know the odds of success versus failure. I can think of a few times where the K'r missed the first but hit the second. Most times they seem to repeat their first kick. (make or miss)

I love the strategy of the placekick timeout - team must have kept one, timing of getting the call, wonder if Denver made any rush adjustments to free up that inside guy. It's so neat that such a small sequence at the end determined the outcome. NFL coaching so important for real contenders.

We want the AFC West to beat the living chit out of each other!

So are the Ravens a player again, or was it the Bengals?

Pats don't make excuses, just adjustments and undiscovered cheating techniques!

I get the reasoning for it as a coach, it's just strange that they can call a timeout right before the kick. They should either call the timeout well enough before the snap or not at all. it's just kinda dumb

As an AJ green fan, it hurt to watch that game last night. The bengals are just so bad right now, espeically Dalton, and I don't even know why. Their line is trash but it was trash before too so I don't think it's just that. Either way, green is being wasted. That last play was great though. 2 second left on the clock, they need a td to win, gotta be a hail mary right? Nope. Incase anyone didn't see it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-mQJfwuXwQ

Yeah but the point is that JJ Watt destroyed that 300+ lineman who caught that ball. As a Texans fan I was actually on the edge of my seat the entire time and somewhat enjoyed the game. Had I been a fan of any other team, I would have probably thought it was the worst game ever and boring.

I like what I saw in Watson, I like that our D showed up even though we had 5 guys out for concussions and one of them gone for PEDs. Texans needed that win since they're going to get demolished next Sunday at the Patriots, but overall I didn't hate the game.

But yeah I can see how everyone thought it was boring.

Man Denver and ATL showed up yesterday big time.

But don't count out the pack. We've seen time and time again where people count out the Packers and suddenly towards the end of the year these guys are lighting up fools. The falcons are still the real deal though, would love to see a superbowl rematch.

I'd like to know if Payton was involved much with bringing AP in. They are using him exactly like MN was in the end. It's horribly predictable. Kamara does not look that good either, but Ingram looks like the same solid player.

Packers had a lot of injuries. Falcons D is legit when healthy.

Poor Chargers, starting this year just like last. Could be 2-0 if they had just kept Lambo. I hate Rivers, but he is being wasted in SD/LA. I wonder if Min could have made a run for him last year (instead of Bradford). He probably would have vetoed it anyways. SD vs MN.

I don't feel bad for the chargers. LA already had a team, they do not want the chargers, the san diego fans didn't want them to leave, so they left somewehre they were wanted to somewhere nobody wants them.

The fans didn't back the team with a new stadium; they gambled and lost. Now their team is playing second fiddle in a city that doesn't want either. Too bad as they actually are a pretty good team; I like the way they are building. Ownership is truly terrible though.

Despite my love for the Raiders to move to Vegas, that's a bigger middle finger to their fans. After 15 years of misery, they finally are in the conversation for a SB again, and they are moving in a couple seasons. Can they get by god almight B&B in time? It will be interesting to see what happens when they have a couple losing seasons. You know casinos will be comping tickets galore to high rollers, and its one of the cheapest fights around.

I don't blame the Rams at all. St. Louis is a crap hole, and the greatest show on turf is an after thought in that baseball town. The few Rams fans I know switched teams after the move, some in their division.
