Going to camp tomorrow morning, after see if I can get a LG Blount or Marcellus! Wallace (Bennett) jersey on clearance at the pro shop. Interested to see Cooks and new guys in action.
Anybody else checking out their teams in camp?
We also decided that while we still like the Falcons, the Eagles are our favorite NFC squad.
Red and White tonite, I'm sad, wanted MORE color in unis.
I know you are all sad about Pats sucking, but be of good cheer, it's good to have regular season games with meaning instead of waiting to Thanksgiving.
Newt's taking some chit, I'm sure Jameis will get some questions too. If Bucs win, he will be on podium a while.
> Newt's taking some chit, I'm sure Jameis will get some questions too. If Bucs win,

That was a really stupid comment by Cam; he deserves some flack. I guess he only wants HIS "equality". Oh well, he has always been pretty immature.
What did Jameis say or do?
Is it worth starting Doug Martin if your other options are Ty Montgomery (broken ribs, Q), McCaffery or Mixon? (My RB's suck) Probably have to roll the dice, but TB is playing it quiet.
Says if you want to stop him from dancing around like an idiot after scoring then stop him from scoring. Hes then prevented from scoring and then complains that hes getting hit too much.
It's not really Cam's fault. It's his father. He's still pulling the strings!!
I love Newt the player and was wondering if his recent injuries would force him into better throwing mechanics this season, cause he so often threw off back foot, unbalanced, etc, and his great physical ability still made completions. We will see going forward how he manages sport and real life stuff.
Definition of larger than life character though.
Love the fashion statements he makes!
Dannon pulling Newt TV spots, but not contract.
Lots of injured players on both sides tonite, Bucs D, Pats O. Desean breakout game maybe?
A Bucs win would make my week. Doubt it though.
Ugh, what a slop fest so far.
sloppy, but couple things of note:
- Koetter is very good coach, nice clock management at end of half
- Newt put together a nice apology, should stop the bleeding
It's like a sketch comedy show. Never seen a professional kicker who can't do anything close to the job like this before.

Google Lin Elliott, but yes, painful for Bucs.
Why'd they go away from Martin? He's the better runner, blocker, and at least as good a pass catcher as Rodgers.
And that close at the end, against a team that shot themselves in the foot all game. Pats are definitely not elite, whatsoever.
So do we think nick folk will be fired over the weekend or next week?
Yay! Pats have won 60% of games played so far. They are really good! 10 days till the J-E-T-S, another good team!
> So do we think nick folk will be fired over the weekend or next week?
I don't see why they would go past tomorrow. They at least have the extra few days with the long week to tryout others.
Patriots didn't win that game, the Bucs kicker gave the game away.
Pats kicker was a better kicker than the Bucs kicker, so there.
Giants lost 4 wr's today. OBJ, Marshall, and Shephard to left ankle, and another foot. Marshall and OBJ carted off, the latter crying profusely. My fantasy team might be crying soon.
I like(d) Wentz, but I'm surprised to see Goff lighting it up. Fisher should be done as a head coach in the NFL.

Yeah he's pretty much ruined any QB he's ever coached.
Hoyer, nice (wasted) game.
Beckham, broken ankle, surgery.

Broken fibula by another report, with possible ligament damage. Headed for surgery already. Replay looked nasty.
Put him on IR, stat!
Mercilous and Watt injured, Watt looking serious. Watson's team now. Tough break. Not over.

Yeah not looking good for my Texans, but Watson doing what he can to keep em in the game

Fudge man, let end this.
I don't know if it's just me but it feels like there have been more injuries this year than previous years.
Ya, more high profile players especially, wonder if the reduced full contact practice rules have made a difference there.
Green Bay best in NFC? KC definite, Smith throwing it around so much more, Watson really good.
Probably GB, but Philly should be considered. Their only loss was to KC. GB has yet to be healthy though.
Green bay definetly the team to beat IMO. Would love to see them vs the chiefs.
some bad tackling last night, notably the punt pass. too much headhunting too. Ben fed up with what - fans/city, coaches, prima donna players, or is it just time to stop chasing rings and enjoy things?
Eagles O-line getting exploited too much in the first half. Nice to see Wentz playing so tough though. He should give Fig Newton some lessons (if Cam isn't too busy whining about officiating or practicing his extended, prima donna celebrations).
I guess all that extra weight helped with that flop on that dead ball roughing call.
Eagles better than I thought, Oline, Defense especially.
Coach Pederson very good, especially going for 2 after XP penalty.
Blount working out well. Impressive win.
It's a even week so my Jags fixin to lose.
> It's a even week so my Jags fixin to lose.
Howdy neighbor. Jags well probably crap the bed with bad Ba-lok-aye showing back up at QB, but look out of they win!
The Jags are competitive and interesting now though, statement game for both Rams and Jags this week, will Jags sell out stadium?
A team worth paying attention to so far this season.
Yikes, Rodgers hit semi-late, hurt throwing arm/shoulder. Could be a collar bone. Taken to the locker room. Honestly surprised it wasn't called in today's game.
Edit: Confirmed broken collar bone. Bad news for the Pack.
Wow, Jets got screwed royally.
Yeah, he's been awesome. Be interesting to see him against Seattle in 2 weeks with a bye to prep.
Jets are pretty solid. A shock considering I thought they're be a dumpster fire.

Yeah definitely want to see how he does vs that Seattle D.
Jets are very surprising, I thought they'd be straight up garbage this year, very impressed with how they've pulled together.
Green Bay is done for the year now probably too..
we had to pay the keague play review guy a chitload to get that call reversed!
> we had to pay the keague play review guy a chitload to get that call reversed!
They apparently forgot the definition of indisputable. Jets got lawyered in the worst way.
Mranwhile the Royals are up on the Pirates 3-2. Err.. um.
> Atta boy Pats! Jets did get screwed by the refs though.
I just watched the replay, he didn't have possession of the ball as it crossed the goal line. Same thing happened to Gurley last week against the Seahawks when he fumbled at the goal line and the ball clipped the pylon.
Nope. Terrible overturn. Absolutely nothing conclusive. Not a single analyst agreed with it.
No worries. Chiefs proved their coaching staff is their achilles. They aren't elite, but damn they have talent. Will be an interesting year.
The Pats look bad, but is it a prolonged preseason slump? Give it another few weeks and we'll know. Pats #1 power rankings!
No OT's. No DB's. No QB.
Season should be fun.
> Wow, Jets got screwed royally.
Ugh, seriously! I know bad ref calls are nothing new but this one took the cake. Every game I saw today commented on it atleast once and it's all over the post-game talk. Not only was it clearly a touchdown and not a fumble, but even worse, they ruled it a td originally and actually thought they had enough conclusive evidence to OVERTURN it. How??? Jets get screwed out of atleast overtime, possibly a win. People who bet money on them or played ASJ in fantasy football and lost by less than 8 points got a right to be livid too. Hope those officials are held accountable.
> IMHO that ball was rolling and not controlled. The only question is the touchback.
> I thought jets get ball at the foot line for sure.
Definitely rolling upon crossing the goal line and didn't regain possession while in bounds. I though it would be Pat's ball at the spot of where the fumble happened, not at the 20 as well.
OK, NFC totally messed up, Eagles #1 seed,
-what is up with the curse of the Steelers on Chiefs at home?
Nice basket of wannabes in AFC, still led by KC, Pitt #2 seed?
I wonder if anyone has an OPI opinion on this Chiefs-game TD.
> I wonder if anyone has an OPI opinion on this Chiefs-game TD.
I wonder if anyone outside of a locker used the acronym OPI before Tony Romo did.
KC has made one big mistake, the coverage breakdown on the second touchdown to Cooper. The first touchdown was a fudgeup by the refs. The penalty taking away the Houston-forced fumble was another ref mistake.
I am TNF entertained!
