I've been playing Resident Evil 7 in VR, and while it is utterly amazing, sometimes it gets too intense for me despite its flaws. I wonder if a lot of horror game fans might be alienated by VR in the future because they can't handle it. My wife can barely bring herself to play because it gets so intense and terrifying. Do you think horror VR is a positive future, or will lead to fewer games?

Damn is VR really already this intense now? I haven't delved in at all yet.

The graphics are kind of crap but it's like nothing else. I'm totally hooked. Pretty much crap my pants like 5 times and not even halfway through RE

Well, not so much the graphics as the resolution. It's still totally immersive.

VR is a gimmick and will be dead within a few years, doubt it kills a genre that's been around for 30+

It won't kill the genre, but it is fun.

I tried VR for the first time a couple weeks ago. There was some underwater simulation where sharks are swimming around you, I couldn't even handle that. I had to take the headset off until my friend changed the game lol

I can play first person games just fine but know some people who get motion sickness from it, but I cant read in the car for extended periods without getting it, so I wonder about vr.

actually that is interesting af.. wanna read on the beach? in the rainforest? on a hill overlooking a mountain range and rolling clouds? that would be pretty sweet.

ill probably be more interested in trying vr gaming one day, we really seem to be in the beginning stages of actual implementation, the headsets will get smaller, etc. if its not a dead fad down the road i may look into it, i already don't like motion controls and since most vr things use it in some fashion im pretty turned off, but a virtual library where i can read it "outside while birds chirp and clouds roll by? that is pretty cool.

@tonymack21 I get pretty terrible motion sickness and haven't had any issues so far. A tad in Eve Valkyries demo, but nothing too bad. I believe Best Buys website has a map of which stores you can try PSVR at if you want to get a feel for it.

I recently got an HTC Vive and it's f*cking awesome. It's so good I changed my subscriber forum to a dedicated VR forum if you want to talk about anything VR related.

Got PSVR last month and I'm loving it. I bought it for Rez, but the experiences are fantastic. While the resolution isn't great, you don't even notice it because you're just immersed in whatever you're doing. Its only the beginning and will only get better.
