This day SHOULD be a decent day to grab some stuff. But for 1, we all know Gamestop's prices.

But for two, it's one of the WORST advertised sales of any sale ever. Even their flyer in store is vague and misleading in many ways.

The store I went to was pretty full of customers, and we all had questions that the clerk could barely answer.

I ended up getting a Zelda 16oz glass for $6 and Earth's Dawn PS4 (neat looking bargain title) for $7.

It says "up to 30% off games and accessories"....but I didn't know that meant I (as an Elite Pro member) got 30% off EVERY USED ITEM I PURCHASED. I definitely would have went for more had their ad not been so unclear.

Did anyone else grab stuff?

I think you only get discounts if you pay for the membership.

GameStop's Pro Day Sale was, shockingly enough, exclusively for its Pro and Elite Pro members. Pro membership earned you 20% off used merchandise and Elite Pro membership earned you 30% off used merchandise. It was only this Saturday.

However, separate from this sale, GameStop has also brought back its promotion where four of their used video games priced at $4.99, when purchased together, come to a grand total of $10.00 before applicable sales tax. I'm very excited to add these four Sega titles to my collection:

positive Binary Domain (Xbox 360)
positive Golden Axe: Beast Rider (Xbox 360)
positive Universe at War: Earth Assault (Xbox 360)
positive Vanquish (Xbox 360)

@Dashey hoping you can help me out. I went in to buy Crash and was told I can't use my $10 coupon that I redeemed with points because the item was on sale. Is that right?

From what I have heard from other forums, on most PRO days, you aren't allowed to use certificates from Power Up Rewards. Its ridiculous, but its Gamestop. They are a pretty ass backwards company.

Dumb. I'm done with this store once my pro expires. I feel stupid for not moving to Bestbuy sooner.

The 4 for 10 deal became a 4 for 4 if you were an Elite Pro member, so I loaded up on cheap games that I've been meaning to play.

You can't use certificates on pro day because it'll glitch the POS and will put the price back to MSRP making the certs worthless.

Also, they passed out a scratch off ticket with any purchase. I "scored" 10% off.... This wouldn't stack on my already 20% for being elite pro, correct? So stupid they pass these out to current members when the deal is WORSE than the one I get with my membership.

So, how is POS set up differently on Pro Day and a let's say...regular sale day?

Since the deals are for pro members only, it works the same way as how you get discounts on used games sorta. Deal only applies if you have a pro account meaning you'd have to pay retail if you don't have the account. But on a regular sale day, it applies to everyone even if they don't have an account so it's sticking to one price.

Can't you just make it the same way how pros get 10%? And If you are not a paid pro member you don't get the 10%?

How is that any different?

Like just scan your card, if pro, get discounted price, if not pro, regular price.

Whatever GameStop, just sounds like an excuse to make certs invalid, really lower than low there.

My anger is not directed at you Dashey.

It's not an excuse. You'll know how crapty the POS can be if you're working here.

I did work at GameStop briefly. Crapty POS aside, I don't understand why certs not working has anything to do with POS. Unless GS intentionally put the obstacle there.

I got 5000 points. Plan on just printing out another $5 coupon. Got my eye on both gravity rush 2 and the wipeout omega collection.

A manager should have the ability to adjust a price to anything they want... Why can't they just do that?

Anyone can do it actually.

We can't void the certs so if we do adjust it, then how would we know that the same person won't use it again later?

Hey, I was wondering, based on some recent orders I've done at my store- is there a limit on how far away a store can order a game from? I just remembered something from about 10 years ago, when I was looking for a game, and they said there were 3 copies in the chain- all in Alaska. There's a game I'm looking for now that I don't know where the closest copy is...

Varies by district. My district isn't allowed to request for games but the store half an hour away would let you request a game from anywhere in the U.S.

Nope 4 for $4. Gamestop is applying the coupon in funky ways. It was 4 for $8 in store two weeks ago, but it's been as low as 4 for $6 online. This weekend it hit 4 for $4. Not sure if it's intentional or not.
