I have the Wyzecam 1, and I love it. It has a rock solid app, the video quality is decent (low framerate - but you can definitely see what's happening), and it just plain works.

It doesn't have a million bells and whistles, but definitely gets the job done...and it's $20!!!!

Like I said, I have the first version, I'm buying 2 of the second!

I'm really considering getting one. These don't have the capability to be wireless correct? No adapter or anything?

They have a USB power cord.

I'm guessing the answer is no...but do these have the ability to send the video files directly to a server over Wifi?

Not entirely sure, but that definitely sounds like something that is out of the realm of this camera's abilities raspberry

I'm investigating these kinds of things for my 4-yr old son's room, now that the kid-cam thingy no longer works. So you watch the video feed via the app on another device? Or can take out the memory card and watch everything it's recorded?

You watch on the app, you can record from the app, and watch the recordings in the app. The memory card stays in from what I understand.

I bought two yes Not sure where I am going to put them, but there it is! Maybe one will go in my garage....and one upstairs in the hallway so I can watch the cats.

I already have the first model in the living room.

Most of it yes they are working on a fix but still sending data to unknown servers. $20 is a deal but not worth it to me to leave my network open to god knows who. That is also not the only article out there, google is your friend

Bizarre, video mentions watching packages and being on a porch but it specifies it's for indoors. I wonder if it can handle lower temperatures but just not water. I'd pick up a couple to face my driveways but there doesn't seem to be anymore info on it. Nice looking little camera though, and recording to SD to boot.

These are cool. I have 2 of the Conico ones. I'd probably get these if I wasn't already on the Conico system - don't want to add these and have to use 2 apps.

Something to keep in mind for sure yes

Nothing on my network is really worth hacking into though, so I'm not concerned.

Love the cam but the low price sure seems to match the devs being ho-hum about security. Sounds like they are working on improving the network traffic (from basically fully open)...now that they've been called out. But it's nuts the stuff I've read. Seems the same as laptop camera's being hijacked.
