Hey all, it's been a very long time. I have an i7-3770k that has been OC'd to 4.4GHz. This OC was done years ago on a Corsair H80i. I upgraded that to a H100i, which I just upgraded to a H110i. So now I have a 280mm rad and I'm wondering if I should try to raise my OC even more. I'm not even sure how much higher I should attempt to go. It's running stable on Intelburntest set to max, Temps are all in low-mid 60's with 68C being the max.

Welcome back!

You could probably get a couple hundred more MHz out of it. My 3770k was at 4.5 its whole life. What voltage is it at?

Jackson!! I sent you a PM, bro.

This is actually the CPU that we overclocked together years ago, remember? I'll have to check the settings in the BIOS when I get home. I wanted to get this thing up to 5GHz back in the day, but I know that's probably a long reach for Ivy Bridge.

Looks like the voltage is a 1.15 in offset mode.

1.14 when it's under load? If memory serves, that's a reeeeeeeally good voltage for that chip. I think mine was running 1.25 at 4.5GHz.

At a certain point you're going to hit diminishing returns. I want to say the safe recommended voltage for a 3770k is 1.3V?

Sorry, that wasn't under load. Under load is 1.24V. So I could squeeze some more power out of it, but would it be worth the effort?

It wouldn't hurt to see how far you can push it. I've had my Ryzen 7 1700X up to 1.5 volts before just to see if it would be stable at a certain clock speed. As long as it's not constant it wouldn't hurt. I'd still aim for 1.3V or lower (and temps of 80c or lower) for that 3770k, but that's going from memory.
