So Trump announced "his" action on Afghanistan. This is surprisingly unfortunate. Even if I try to get hopeful on Trump, he fudges it up for me. At this rate, our kids will be fighting this war.

So Trump supporters, how do you feel about him flip-flopping on his original withdraw/hands-off approach, to the unsuccessful Bush Jr./Obama/Clinton plan?

Everybody else. Happy with his change of heart?

I think, well I hoped, his supporters wanted out. I know Nines and POG when he supported the guy wanted out.

How can he talk about the financial burden of Afghanistan but we've hiked the military budget yet again this year? I don't see how we can talk about cutting all these programs yet one of the biggest budgets we have doesn't get a decreased but instead gets an increase in spending.

I'm also curious about him stating, "Third, and finally, I concluded that the security threats we face in Afghanistan and the broader region are immense. Today, 20 U.S.-designated foreign terrorist organizations are active in Afghanistan and Pakistan, the highest concentration in any region anywhere in the world."

If he's so serious about keeping possible terrorists out of the country, and if Afghanistan and Pakistan have the highest concentration of terrorists in the world, why weren't they included in his travel ban?

Because they have nukes and we've been irritating them.

The travel ban was primarily on countries that had very weak to no government. Yemen for example is just a complete war zone. There is very little we can do to "vet" refugees coming from there. I love it when Dems try to say that we vet our refugees thoroughly but negate to mention that it's completely dependent on the record keeping and tracking of foreign governments.... If the Guinness Book of world records refuses to trust these third world countries records (for say the old age record), wtf makes you think we can determine who has terrorist ties?
