What are your thoughts? The way Trump is handling this and all the demands it's not really going to be much a deal that benefits Canada or Mexico.

You have the US government slapping a 300% tariff on Bombardier (that's just nuts) but you have companies still willing to go through with there orders and Delta saying it will refuse to pay the tariff (good on them!) Boeing could end up loosing an order for fighters from the Canadian Air Force as a result, granted it's not huge but it's the last think they need considering the problems Boeing has been having.

Worst trade deal ever made. May have to terminate.

I agree, not the greatest deal... but Trump basically wants a heavily slanted deal in the US's favor...not smart... seeing as how that's not how deals are made. It's supposed to benefit all parties... not one. I will give the man credit, Trump is pretty good at alienating allies.

he is pushing them to get the best deal possible, he isn't going to eliminate or make it as bad on them likely in the end as it sounds. treating it like a business deal, which is what it is really, throw a far off offer at first and get their counter and go from there. it does need to benefit all and in the end hopefully it does.

I totally agree, something like this can't just benefit one or two of the 3 countries. This protectionism has to stop, subsidies need to stop on both sides...

Boieng recently played Trump like a fiddle though.

Why does Mexican beer cost more here than domestic? With NAFTA, there are no tariffs on Corona, so why am I paying a premium on "imported" beer?

isnt Corona considered a mid premium, and i think they use its cachet to charge a little more. Corona bottled in US anywhere?

AFAIK it is bottled in Mexico. But there are no extra fees associated with bringing it across the border, so why do they charge a premium price?

im not a big beer drinker, but I know its a premium product compared to the standard bud lights of the beer world. maybe they just know they've got a higher quality product?

What I was saying is just more of random musings. I understand that because it is foreign it still has that "exotic-ness" to it and because of that they can charge more, even though it doesn't actually have any import fees to raise the price.

Now the real issue is, why is Blue Moon not considered a domestic? I was at Ruby Tuesday's and they had a sign that all domestic drafts were some low price. So I ordered a Blue Moon and low and behold, I did not get the discount. Funny that a beer brewed in Colorado is not considered domestic.

lol, its also a more premium Id say. I find when places say "domestic" especially on sale they mean the peewater. (bud, pbr, etc)
