Controller -- Guitar Hero: Les Paul Wireless Guitar (Xbox 360)

Description
I am reviewing the first of the wireless Guitar Hero controllers that was originally released with the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock game. First impressions were good. After using the original Xbox 360 guitar controller, the X-Plorer, it felt nice to get back to a more familiar shaped guitar from the first two PS2 GH titles.
This controller adds a couple new additions to the already excellent concept of a guitar shaped controller - the first being that it's wireless. In the past, you couldn't jump around like a meth-crazed rock star because of risking catching the cord and pulling it out of the system. The new Les Paul guitar is completely wireless now, but with that, comes the need for its own power source (i.e. batteries). I just got this thing, so I have no idea how long it can run off 2 AA batteries, but my roommates Rock Band guitars seem to be able to be used quite a bit before having to replace them.
Another cool idea that was implemented into this controller was that it has a detachable neck for easy transport. You can actually disconnect the neck of the guitar from the main body of it to reduce it to a small enough size where you could put the whole thing in your backpack. This actually makes things quite useful when you have to move it between home and school the way I have to.
Other than that, there really isn't much to say about it, and bugger-all seems to have changed. I picked this controller up at Circuit City during the 2009 company liquidation, so I only had to pay around $25 for it. Any more, and I wouldn't recommend running out and picking one up if you already have 2 X-Plorers or Guitar Hero: World Tour guitars. Bear in mind though, if you only have 1 GH controller, you will need a second one because Rock Band controllers don't work with Guiar Hero. If that's the case, I'd recommend picking this up, that is if you can get it for cheap. If not, just stick to the more reasonably priced X-Plorer guitars.
