Thanks for letting me know. I'm checking on it.

I think I found a mail server stuck. So, I restarted it. And, I think it's processing ~300 messages now. It may take 5-10 minutes for those to go out. After that, I'm hoping it will be working well again.

Unfortunately, I can't really tell why it got stuck. So, I'll also try to keep an eye on it over the next few days.

Yeah I just got 5 GTZ emails within a few minutes. Some where days old I think.

OK, so the 300 stuck emails are sent now. I did see more than one going to FoxHack. So, maybe you'll see those old notifications now.

The last time I saw email sent FoxHack from my server was Jun 7th ~7pm. Otherwise, I do see mails going out in some cases. So, I'm unsure what was up with the 300 emails being stuck. Partly, my memory of how it all works is fuzzy.

I'm rebooting the server now to just reset everything just in case....

OK, server is back. I'll keep an eye on it...

It seems to still be working. I had an idea... I think I can have the hourly script check of there are a lot of message waiting to me sent... then email me about it. So, at least I'd know something was wrong and can restart it... before you have to make a topic like this.

But what if the server tries to email you but it can't because it's stuck?

That's an excellent point. *sigh*

OK, I have another way to alert myself... I agree using email is a bad idea.

Have it email you every 30 seconds telling you that email is working. Then if you STOP getting emails, you'll know something is up!
