I'm amazed at stuff like this. More so that people have the time and patience!

I saw the video and was disappointed that it was only infamous to speedrunners.

Nobody else cares one whit about that one invisible block and trying to get perfect timing.

He keeps calling it "bros" instead of "brothers". Had to stop watching it. -4/10.

Is it me, or does brothers sometimes come off as like 2.5 syllables instead of 2?

As a non-speedrunner and hardly ever really caring about speed runs in general, I find this sort of stuff to be super interesting.

The only two games I seriously follow on speed runs are Super Metroid (only during AGDQ) and Mega Man X/X2 (only Calebhart42)

I also pronounce it "bros" in "Super Mario Bros". In fact, I can't think of anybody ever saying "Super Mario Brothers" in real life, it's always bros. Same for Smash, "Super Smash Bros". *shrug*

I can't think of anyone who calls it "Super Smash Bros" in person either, usually it's "Smash" or "Smash 4" or "Melee"

Nobody speaks of Brawl.

True, if anything it's "Smash Bros", but usually just "Smash".

I did a 5 minute run back when I was in college; I forget how many seconds, I want to say 20-30.

I've never heard anyone pronounce it Bros. It's always brothers here.

I wonder if the Bros/Brothers thing is regional as I've never heard of it referred to as Bros. Even Smash is either just Smash or Smash Brothers.

I say Super Mario Brothers, or just Mario. I never say Bros.

Anyone I know just says Mario 1, Mario 2, etc but the Smash series is usually said as "bros".
