I have a small collection of Amiibos, was considering getting rid of them as they do take up some space (especially in the box).
Do any of you collect them? what are your tips to store them? or would you just rather buy the ID stickers that are sold on eBay?
I have alot as well. Wanting to sell them off. I don't care for them.
I don't get the point of them for games. I do have Ganondorf and my son has Bowser since we like those characters.
I was collecting them starting with wave 2, but they started releasing too many and they were all way to difficult to get ahold of and it got too time consuming to get ahold of them. One day I looked at my collection and realized I hand spent like $300-400 on little Nintendo figures and decided to stop buying them. I will occasionally pick one up if its on sale for like $2-3 but I'm pretty much done with them.
I got the ones I liked (a handful), and a few more that were cheap. I've rarely scanned any outside of BotW. My favorite ones are the Metroid ones just released and I have no functional use for them. Don't go nuts and they're fine.
not too sure, I think Nintendo went back and remade pretty much all the hard to find ones but I don't know if they left any out so they remained rare. WFT is probably one they didn't remake and I've not really seen it in forever.
> Do I pet them? Yes.
> I'm down to Toon Link, Cloud and Bayonetta P1. Don't wanna get too nuts with them

lol @ that mental image.
I initially grabbed alot of the classic Nintendo franchise characters - Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Toad, Fox, etc...but then also grabbed Ryu, Sonic, and Pacman. Then I found R.O.B. and the Pikmin dude for cheap...
So yeah, I have too many probably, but nowhere near ALL OF THEM. I think I'll hang onto them for a bit to see if they hold any value...but eventually, I can see myself dumping them.
> I think the Wii Fit Trainer and Silver Mario are the two rarest now or something?
Looks like SSB Link is going for nearly $40 too.
Basically, anything Zelda seems expensive.
I own none and I am in love with them all.
> Holy crap. How many is that???
> Take your number x $12...right?
Well, a few were on clearance or convention prizes, but... we have roughly 50-60 of them, including Wii Fit Trainer because benstylus thought her inclusion in Smash 4 was hilarious. They're all open though because they get used. I don't really care for the amiibo-for-every-major-game kick that Ninty is on now though. :-s
/The first step is admitting I have a problem
I only have The Guardian from Zelda BOTW, Shovel Knight, and the 2 Bayonetta Amiibo. All still in the box.
> I just counted mine last night...I have over 30 of these damn things. WTF
What really sucks is when you look at those, do the math (if you paid the full $15 retail for each one) and think to yourself that you spent the same or more as if you were to have bought a new console plus a few games.
> Why do you do this to me @dustin11 ????
Its what I did and after I calculated the total I had spent on those things I never bought another again. After realizing I could have bought Panzer Dragoon Saga rather than these little plastic statues I was pretty disappointed with my spending choices.
