Both my Tomb Raider and SimCity shipped out this morning. Both will be here tomorrow but I'm not sure which one I'm more excited about. * wry smile *

Haven't heard much from anyone on here about being excited for it. I can't be the only one... Am I ? * poker face *

LOL I made a post, and I absolutely missed yours * raspberry *

I have a lot going on this month myself, Starcraft 2 expansion and all... I am getting the CE so I need to pick that up ASAP. I really want Simcity also but that may have to wait unless I can find someone to trade me a digital copy or something. It Looks good.

Yeah man it's a huge month for gaming. Tomb raider, sims icy, gears of war, god of war, Bioshock infinite and heart of the swarm all come out this month.

You should definitely try to grab a copy of SimCity though. I played the beta and it was a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to the online aspect of it. If you pick a copy up let me know, I'll build a city in your region. * grin *

I have the Ultimate Songbird edition of Bioshock pre ordered so I need to save up for that but I'll definitely be getting Tomb Raider. Doesn't South Park come out this month as well?

They take the mundane crap out but allow you to focus on the city,, you want to be industrial? a tourist destination? It's pretty damn cool.

I suck so hard right now. I've been through like 6 different attempts at trying to create and sustain a successful city but I've failed miserably every time. My first attempt was thwarted by an enormous fire breathing dinosaur. He destroyed my solar power plant immediately after building it and I was too broke to rebuild? :( the rest of my cities suffered similar fates. This game is pretty unforgiving. Lol

Is the game still suffering from the long delays to play due to the always-online thing? People seemed to be complaining about that a lot on Twitter, so I'm waiting until that crap clears up before buying this.

I personally haven't had to wait more than 30 seconds while trying to get into a "busy" server. I imagine the less populated servers have no wait time at all.

What are you having trouble with exactly? Waiting for servers to let you in or are you just unable to play period?

Yeah, glad I didn't buy it day one. I also might not buy it at all after all the things I have read, and listening to Jeff at Giantbomb talk about it. It doesn't sound like what I want out of a Simcity game.

Were you more into the old school Simcity games? I like this one because its more streamlined and like others have said it allows you to concentrate more on your vision of what you want your city to be rather than micromanaging everything.

Yeah I was really into the older games. Simcity and 2000 any ways. I didn't care too much for anything after that. Actually I haven't really loved any of them since 2000. 3000 was decent, and 4 was just okay.

I'll be getting it. Looks like those most excited are those of us that played the first few installments of the game. I played sim city for the SNES for hundreds of hours, man were those good times. Then I put even more time into 2000. I skipped 3 and have 4. I sure hope this new version is as fun as the rest.

That sucks man. This is obviously a widespread issue and pretty unacceptable. If a company is going to release an always online title, they should be 100% positive that when it's released that it works. I'd really like to pick this up, but it doesn't seem like I'm going to any time soon.

I was so excited for it, been a huge fan since 2000 but wow, after everything I've heard I'm just really disappointed. I'm not going to bother unless I can get it super dirt cheap. One huge factor for me is the always online thing, usually when I'm able to play I don't have internet access soooo... lame.

Yep, according to Maxis, they've increased their server load by 120% and decreased the problem by 80%. They're still working on it, but things aren't nearly as bad as they were. I don't think excuses the problem that took place, but offering a free video game to those who buy the product is a pretty good apology.

I love the game. Very in depth. I just hope they speed up the servers after they fix it. I'm going to say a month or so before the servers work with everything involved.

The game though is so much fun. Also, I hope they let me pick any EA PC game. Would choose Crysis.

After watching EA redeem themselves on this today and going as far as offering up a free game to make up for it -- I went ahead and purchased this for $45. By the time it gets here, EA should have everything sorted out and I can fully enjoy the game...

For a game I already wanted to play to begin with (not to mention at a $15 discount as well)? Sure.

It's the same way people refuse to shop at GameStop, but if they can get 3 games for the price of 2, they generally give in and take the opportunity.

EDIT: My main issue with the ordeal was that they weren't even willing to refund digital buyers who purchased something they couldn't even use. They remedied that by not only correcting the problem, but also giving those same people a free game.
