I am not interested in spending a crazy amount looking for something around the $100 mark. Any thoughts? Wired or wireless is fine.. looking for something to help me on CoD... my KDR is horrible! Was .30, been working it up though (.40 right now).

I haven't seen any other than the razer raiju and nacon revolution, but only the Nacon actually has offset sticks, which id think that's what you are talking about. shooters are about the only thing I don't like the ds4 for, and golf. they are expensive though, but I will probably get a nacon one day when the prices come down, the v2 is still 150.. crazy... its not even wireless.

this does not have a headphone port though, and I don't see how its much better than the standard ds4, if at all.

Damn, would probably need I wireless headset then.... Wich would be cost prohibitive, though my damn cat will probably force me into getting on soon enough.

Lol..I do like the Sony gold wireless but I don't use it enough to justify the price..I kinda wish id have went with the regulars but they are the 20th anniversary ps1 gray so I can't give them up they are too pretty. Wish they had made the PS4 pro in that color.

If you want an edge get one of those PS4 to mouse and keyboard adapters. But with anything it's preference and practice. I've bought about 10 mice and I only like one. Fits my weird size hand.

I use the Hori Onyx for my PS4. It's a wireless controller in the shape of an Xbox One or Switch Pro controller. I personally like it way more than the Dualshock 4, but that's my personal opinion.

I don't think these made their way to the states yet, so you may have to import like I did. It was only about $50. The two downfalls to the controller are that there is no headphone jack or motion controls.

dang they need to bring that to US id almost surely get one, no headphone jack is a bummer but the sony headphones don't need it so not so bad. id love a wireless with offset sticks that doesn't come with the price tag of those Nacon's

How is that controller? Besides the layout is it more responsive for FPS?

being wireless I cant imagine its any more or less responsive than the DS4, but Hori makes a good product usually.

I didn't read through all the post but figured I'd chime in.

First I don't see controllers helping much. I bought the Xbox One Elite controller and my KD didn't change at all. You would be much better off playing with a team (if you play solo), practicing with different weapons to see what fits your play style, watch videos to see more effective ways to move around the maps, etc.

Something you might not have considered, but if pretty important. What type of TV do you play on? Make sure its set to game mode. Also the smaller the TV usually the less input lag it has (usually). If your on some 55" TV set to vivid colors your will have considerable input lag. I struggled with this for many years. Once I moved to a 27" PC monitor things have gotten much better.

I am using a Panasonic Viera 58" UHD it's on Game mode also. I usually play solo, and usually against people that are way ahead of me lol but my kdr is improving... .46 right now so maybe in a month or two I may get it up past 1.0.

was looking at the Collective Minds Strike Pack F.P.S. Dominator Controller Adapter, it would be my cheapest solution....

Adapters that would allow me to use keyboard and mouse and not that cheap and have issues with lag, and the controller without the headphone jack is great however I would then need to buy a Bluetooth headset (I might have to anyway because of the damn cat)....

I may just stick with what I have for now and just try to get better raspberry

Keyboard and mouse would definitely give you an advantage once you got used to it.

The L2 and R2 could have been a little bigger. They're very comparable to the Switch's pro controller. They take getting used to, but they're functional. They just aren't as tactile as an Xbox One controller's triggers. That, and the overly sensative touch pad, are my only complaints. The input lag has been exactly the same for me as the official controller. Obviously it being a wireless controller there will be some (again equal to the official Sony brand)

I've been playing through Horizon with it. I'm almost done with the game now, and I'm definitely glad I was using the Onyx vs the Dualshock 4. My hands would cramp up after a few hours with the DS4. This controller is more ergonomic for my hands.

Just ordered the Collective Minds Strike Pack F.P.S. Dominator Controller Adapter. I am not interested in the mods you activate like Quick scope and rapid fire, but I will just use the tournament play option (mod free). the reviews seem to be great and its the cheapest option! No need to buy a new headset or a $200 controller. Have my issue is response time, I know when I come across people with modded controllers and it happens a lot! the Triggers will just help with response time, the wired connection will also remove controller lag.

I'm one of those scum bags that got the keyboard and mouse adapter. If you have the money I'd recommend it. Just make sure you get a mouse with really high DPI. Like 12,000 or more.

I have the mouse and keyboard as left overs from my gaming PC days.... I am just looking for a cheap way to get a little help. Have to pay for a wedding and honeymoon.... But this should be fine. I am also not setup to use a mouse and keyboard in the living room at the moment. Though I do prefer the mouse and keyboard to controllers for FPS.... It's just far superior.
