Yeah I'm seeing around $200 to repair direct from Sony. Ouch.
Ah right. That good ol' tale as old as time corporate nonsense policy. Because they need to print that money!!!
Ouch thanks guys well streaming works fine i'll test out digital games later i'll just keep it as streaming box then for bedroom
I'll see about slim or pro
Digital games work fine, dvd movies work but bluray movies don't anymore it come up as unrecognized disc same with physical games
I guess your bluray drive is dead or dying.
Yeah my ps4 model is cuh 1215a, saw that i can slide top faceplate off to see hdd
Just beat Spider-Man and got the plat in one play-through. Insomniac really knocked it out of the park. I beat God of War before this and that was also a fantastic game. Now I can either start Red Dead II or Detroit.

Should be an easy fix if you find a drive for cheap.
Ive had my PS4 almost since release and the drive hasnt failed me with the exception of the ocasional spitting out the discs on its own (i know how to fix it tho). The Power Supply died once though (due to a thunder storm), easy fix and only $25.

How hard was the Spider-man plat? I have it and want to play that also but I probably should finish RDR2 seeing as how I am only 2% in and have not played since early November
I am looking for a good deal on Detroit, I can't believe with all these sales for the last month or more that it never popped up at all.
Yeah just swing around to different areas of the district and crimes should pop up. Takes a lot for me to go out of my way to plat a game but I enjoyed just traversing the city so it wasn't too hard for me.
Days Gone is not a preorder for me. It's a game I'll wait and see reviews and people's opinions before I buy it or maybe I'll gameshare.
Bend Studios did all the Syphon Filter games, Resistance Retribution on PSP and Uncharted Golden Abyss on Vita, I'm a fan of those games I've beaten all of them except Resistance and Syphon Filter Omega Strain. So unless it gets trash reviews I'll probably get Days Gone.
The long lost KH3 reviews are starting to trickle in. Aggregating high 8's mostly. It better be that at least after a 13 year absence.
Isn't KH3 release date tomorrow? Best Buy has it as next Tuesday.image
> The more I see about it, the more I think its going to be a day one purchase for
Yeah it keeps looking better and better
How's the Spider-Man DLC? Finished the game last night, now I'm just polishing up my 100% in each district. Really liked the game, but I keep reading mixed things on the DLC. I think I'm going to buy it just because I want to play more of the game, but just curious if anyone had any opinions on it.
I liked the DLC. Wasn't as good as the main game but it was something to chew on as a bonus. Wasn't too long either. Could finish all 3 DLC packs in about 4-5 hours ish.

I didnt get that email. Whats really impressive to me is that you played 14 hours straight (?). Were you streaming?
Edit: yeah I guess gaming streak doesnt mean consecutive hours. It says I spent 11, Ive never played that much..
1129 Hours (That averages out to 23 hours per game. Could be legit, but I'm sure it counts all the hours I spend just listening to Spotify)
Nioh - 135 Hours (Main game + all the DLC...seems legit)
Metal Gear Solid V - 91 Hours (Could have sworn I was over 100 hours in MGS V)
Ni no Kuni II - 86 Hours (30 of those hours have to be from when I left my PS4 on to max out my kingdom)
You guys can get your stats from this link if you didn't get an email. That's what I did because Sony never sends me emails:https://www.playstation.com/en-us/campaigns/2018/w...
Kingdom Hearts 1.5 & 2.5 - 266 hours
Tales Of Berseria - 216 hours
Yakuza 0 - 197 hours

I know lol i have too much time on my hands
> Masterful Strategist
Thats more than half the year playing. Like, he plays everyday for 12+ hours? (My math could be wrong). Either its counting when the PS4 is on stand by or he plays PS4 for a living.
Actually i do YouTube/netflix about half the time
I'm weak compared to you guys...
333 hours last year.
72 on witcher 3
57 on RDR2
Played 34 different games.
Top online game was firewall zero hour..
I need to check my email, those are interesting stats. 14 hours though, 12-15 hours straight is a typical Saturday/sunday for me on the weekends the kids go their moms. get up, start playing, pause to eat, play, pause to eat again, play till sleepy, get up and repeat, its glorious. cant wait for retirement that is going to be all day every day. or if I win the lotto first, either one.
I think my longest streak was 7 hours, just too much going on. But there is something about those late night RDR2 binges I am going to miss.
I wish another awesome long story type game would release.

Ya some of them, but I guess I mean more third person action/RPG type pretty much like RDR2 or something. I think there's some cool crap coming this year so I am pretty psyched overall.
Hitman season 1 is a short but sweet ride. Gotta say that list is a bit lackluster for me when stacking it up against what XB1 GWG has coming for next month. Star Wars Jedi Academy alone is worth extending my gold another month to indulge in.
Ya I meant GwG for Feb will likely benefit people who haven't experienced those games yet. If you have it's kind of lackluster. With the exception of Jedi Academy. A long lost relic, that is.
And even Hitman 2 is short and sweet. No way worth full MSRP $60 at all in any way shape or form. Both games I value at $30 or less as they can both be toppled in a couple of days each.
So with my massive PS4 backlog staring me in the face the past few days I did the only logical things and bought Spiderman, Burnout Paradise, Just Cause 4 and the PS4 Humble Bundle sooo yea. In other news finally took the plastic off God of War. About 2-3 hours in at the moment. Reallllllly loving the combat and story so far. Gunna be a trip.
I didn't mind the upgrades at all, and was looking forward to them like the arrows and stuff like that.
> Sony has filed a backwards compatibility patent..."Welcome to the party, pal!"
I'm feeling it'll only for ps5 to play ps4 titles but it'd be cool if ps3/ps2 will be added im not getting my hopes up

That sounds like a message on my Yogi tea bags haha "Do not sleep on dreams."
And in regards to the patent, it will be interesting to see if PS1/2/3 games come into the fold on PS5 because honestly I'm not sure how many people actually will continue to benefit from the rather pricey PS Now service.
