I'm super psyched. Anyone else got VR yet? I got the Skyrim bundle as part of some super limited promo deal Sony had going, I managed to snag it before it sold out in like 30 minutes LOL

I don't own a VR headset, but Skyrim and RE7 are the two games I'd like to try. Maybe someday. I wouldn't mind hearing your thoughts about it once you've had a chance to try it out for a bit.

OK I'll definitely share. I've been checking out the reddit PSVR sub and it's pretty unanimous over there, everyone has completely flipped their lid over VR in general snd Skyrim in specific. Also lots and LOTS of love for RE7 (though I'm so totally NOT into horror oriented stuff that I don't think I'll be trying that one... everyone does say it's a phenomenally well done game/experience so, I'm trying to reserve judgment at least until I get my system!

My main gaming buddy also went out and bought VR over the weekend. He's been talking about it for ages but now we'll both have it, I'm really keen to see what we can do co-op in VR.

I recently got rid of mine (to get a PS4 Pro and new TV) but enjoyed it when I had it. Of about 25 or so games I played, these were the most memorable: Batman Arkham VR, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, Rez Infinite, RE7, Megaton Rainfall, and FarPoint (only if you play with the AIM controller).

Some advice...go to the PSN store right now and start the download for the "VR Demo Disc". It's a monster...like 40GB...so it takes ages and you'll want it ready when the headset arrives. It let's you sample a ton of games. I think they even released a 2nd demo disc download recently.

Also, download Allumette. It's an adorable and free short film that is really incredible.

If you can afford it the best way to VR is with a PC and with the rift or vive headset. on ps4 the games look like crap and small library.

also if you get rift then you would have access to rift and steam games. they have a ton of VR games.

I picked up Batman: Arkham VR and DOOM VFR today. DOOM VFR wasn't even on the shelf, the guy said they only received one copy. I still haven't even played anything on the VR yet except for the demos. Some of them were pretty cool and some were just lame 3 minute tech demos. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get VR porn to work (for science).

Yeah I immediately went out and downloaded every single available free VR item in the store, even though I don't have my VR yet. I'm so ready... LOL

Unfortunately I can't possibly justify a Rift. I thought about it as another friend got one, but I'd have to get the Rift plus a serious new PC rig, and that kind of coin... no way. So much more than the PS4 and PSVR plus I'd have no choice but to play in my little office instead of our media room, which I'd prefer and is where the consoles live. Rift looks amazing and I love that the tech specs are so much higher, but the price point I just can't justify, I'm not THAT hardcore.

Plus everyone I see talking about PSVR says that yeah, technically if all you do is sit and look at the graphics, many of them aren't that impressive. But as soon as you're playing and interacting that all goes out the window and everything is totally amazing.

That's cool, hope you enjoy it.

PSVR graphics were noticeable for the most part, but not always. And being able to look around really makes that less of an issue. For the price it is absolutely a reasonable deal, and there are some astounding experiences for sure.

OMG it's insane. Skyrim is absolutely mind-boggling. There's a massive VR games sale going on right now in the PS store too so I picked up a whole pile of new goodies, also got Farpoint with Aim controller and going to play it tonight for the first time.

Starblood Arena and DriveClub both made me a bit motion sick after about 30 minutes or so but still... SOOOOOOO fun. VR is totally the way to play.

I highly recommend Arkham VR and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood.

They've been as cheap as $180 recently. Check SlickDeals.

These were and still are the best games IMO.

I've got Rush of Blood since it was a freebie last month for PS+ members, but frankly I don't like horror genre stuff so I haven't tried it yet. RE7 also doesn't appeal to me though people rave about it... I just don't like anything about the entire genre. I did watch a friend play the very beginning of RE7 though and it was hilarious. He was so scared he wouldn't even go into the house. LOL

I've read good things about Arkham but people complained it was way too short. I'm potentially going a little crazy with games at the moment with the mega sale going on in the PS Store right now on VR stuff, and with VR being the "new baby" in the house.

My buddy and I played Farpoint last night for the first time, both of us in VR. Was freaking AMAZING. I have an Aim controller and my hand was cramping from gripping the damn gun so tightly. LOL I also kept bashing into things in the real world as I'd get so completely absorbed in the game. I really wish I had a dedicated open space for VR.

Well, horror has the most potential on VR, IMO. Skyrim is pretty good too. I played a bit of Farpoint, and that's not bad. The aim controller is cool (although it takes a bit of getting used to, IMO); I hope more games start using it.

Honestly, Arkham is insanely short, but it was more just a demo of what they could do with VR. It's not a full game, and it's not advertised or charged as one. You can pick it up for $10 (or maybe even less) if you look around.
