Topic   Question on The Division

The Division looks like it has decent reviews on metacritic (8/10), but a "mixed" review on Steam.

I don't plan on playing for hundreds of hours, most likely 50 at the max so a grindy end game probably wouldn't matter to me since I wouldn't get there.

My question is, knowing this, is the game worth it? My local store has it for $10 or so. I enjoy tactical shooters and this one seems like it could scratch that itch.

For $10 definitely. The story is underrated in my opinion. Endgame may be a little iffy, but certainly the story/campaign and maybe some pvp (though it's rough out there) is worth it.

For $10, it's worth it. I enjoyed the few dozen hours I put into it. The pvp 'Dark Zone' is a pain though if you play solo.

It's part of the 4 for $20 on GameStop.com right now. $5 is a steal

What else priced at <$10 is worth it? I want DA Inquisition but don't see much else.

Well that's pretty subjective. Depends on what consoles you have, what games you already have and what you're interested in. I bought 8 games for $40 yesterday from it. Bunch of lower value stuff, but stuff I haven't played yet and would like to.

I bought:

MLB The Show 16
Tom Clancy's The Division
Bioshock 2 (xbox 360/one)
Mighty No. 9
Dead Rising 3
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
Just Sing (for my daughter)
Hitman: Absolution (xbox 360/one)

Again, worth it for $10. Shoot Mass Effect Andromeda is worth it for $10 probably.

My local library has that game.

I'm thinking Dragon Age Inq, KOTOR, The Division, and something else.

Loving The Division so far. Put in 8 hours this weekend. Game is really atmospheric.

Don't you also have to buy some extensions to make the Division good?

From what I've read online, some people like the DLC, and some don't. Seems that they've released free content/patches that have made the game better than at launch.
