Shame that we didn't get wireless this time around. Those controller ports/flap aren't the best.

And for the love of God, why do you have to interact with the device to change games? Ugh.

I don't know why websites are always dogging Kirby's Dream Course. My buddies and I played that all the time back in the day. I think it's a great inclusion.

On another note - where are you guys without preorders going on Friday? I won't be able to go out until lunchtime so I'm thinking Target. They're getting a lot more than most supposedly plus they have pizza I can grab before I go back to work.

I think I only own 6 games that are on the Mini.

Super Mario World
Super Mario Kart
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past
Super Punch-Out!!
Donkey Kong Country (maybe, I can't remember which DKC I own)
Final Fantasy III

Hmm, SNES mini with save states and 20+ games, or an SNES with DKC.

That is one of my all time favorite games. So of course I disagree. That game is sitting in my SNES right now, its pretty much the only game that stays in my SNES smile

I can't believe you would play that game for 15 minutes and then call it quirky and a "never again" game, are you allergic to fun

Do you own all 21 games the mini has?

Does not yours have hdmi and save states? Rewind?

I can't stand this "the real snes is better because it can play ALLLLLLL the games."

Well guess what, these 21 games would probably cost someone over $600 fudging dollars to buy on cartridge.

Hell, one or two of these games justify the cost. Throw in HD and save states and portability and rewind..

NO. BRAINER.

How much does Earthbound go for these days? like $200-300? Throw in Chrono Trigger, SoM, FF3, etc....I would bet that $600 is on the low end because, with the exception of 2-3 games, none of these are very cheap.

I'd say anyone who had a preorder in who got bumped for the Treasure Trucks has a valid gripe. Most people preordering on Amazon have some reasonable expectation that as long as they're taking preorders, the items will be distributed, you know, in the order that the preorders were placed.

But then again, honestly, considering the time the orders went in and the crowd that probably got to eat them all up, I'm tempted to care less, thinking on it more. But if I'd gotten one in first thing and saw people in Treasure Truck areas got the initial allotment, I'd probably be pretty salty.

Preorder technically means you ordered beforehand. It doesn't guarantee release date delivery unless it states it. Don't assume anything. Get everything in writing.

I never had a NES classic as the games didn't age as well IMO so know very little about the hacking process.

For fun everyone list the top 14 games you would add to your hacked snes classic.

Mine in no order are

1. Chrono Trigger
2. Turtles in Time
3. Mario All stars
4. Tetris Attack / or Tetris and Dr Mario
5. Final Fantasy 2
6. Secret of Evermore
7. Super Double Dragon
8. Harvest Moon
9. Mega Man X3
10. Breath of Fire II
11. Breath of Fire I
12. Legend of the Mystical Ninja
13. Mega Man X2
14. Tetris & Dr. Mario

I'm with you to some degree. Playing old NES games is kinda tough in many cases. To be honest, some Atari 2600 games are more playable than NES!!!

BUT - there are those gems that just flat out stand the test of time.Super Metroid, Super Mario World, Link to the Past, Street Fighter 2, Contra 3.....er - pretty much the entire SNES Classic lineup wink

Yes, you should! FF3 seems to get most of the love out of the two games. While I do slightly prefer FF3, it's REALLY close. FF2 is a great game and definitely worth playing. The problem is, the SNES version sucks. If you're going to play it, either play it on GBA or PSP.

A lot of the NES Classic games were straight garbage. I've liked all the games I've played on the SNES Classic so far though. I think the NES was just way too limited to make many games that stood the test of time. Really only the 1st party games were still playable.

Honestly I thought I had more love for the NES than the SNES overall, but while I've probably bought and sold the NES Classic about 10 times by now (I'm ready to buy again if someone has one available!), I don't think I'll have that problem with the SNES Classic. I fired it up and I was just like "This is the best." It's just got a LOT of good game that I enjoy having.

The hard part for me is going to be when the UK model comes in, which do I keep?

I remember liking a lot of the games that were on the NES classic, but then upon replaying them I found them to be damn near unplayable. Really the only games that seem to hold up well were the Megaman games, Mario, and Punchout.

Forgot about a few of those. Need to go thru and make list and rank it based on what everyone is posting.

Really hoping we will be able to add at least 50 more games.
