Surge came out today. so far not bad. very nioh and bloodborn feel as in fast combat. switching limbs takes some getting used to.
Phantom Dust remaster is supposed to be out today for free.
injustice came out today as well. grabbed that on my ps4 though,
I'm excited to give it a shot. I beat Mega Man 1-5 last summer so hopefully it comes back real easy.
Yeah, but the enemies all have double health and I think you only have a few seconds to revive your partner. I guess they're working on adding online coop next.
I don't have anyone to coop with at the moment, my Wife would be more of a liability than help I think, but if this does get online coop then that could change things quite a bit.

here is review summary from them
Cuphead ultimately leaves me at an impasse. I absolutely love the style of the game, and when the game works well it's a truly rewarding experience that overcomes the seemingly impossible difficulty. Every time I beat a boss I felt re-energized, ready to tackle the next (and there are quite a few of them). But randomness and all too frequent bugs are rotten apples that spoil what could be a damn near perfect barrel of fruit.
sounds like bugs ruined it for them and that the hard bosses were re-energizing. maybe the difficulty spiked randomly?

Yeah, I'm waiting for online co-op to get added in. I will get this on Steam and probably gift an extra copy to my friend when that happens.

Which is complete BS. I played about 10 levels so far today and no bugs at all, zero, and no difficulty spikes. Bosses have multiple forms the further you damage them but their patters are all easy to figure it and work around. I beat the first boss I played without getting hit once. The reviewer sucked at the game, couldnt get better and blamed the game. That's a bad reviewer.
Get game so far. I love the boss fights and those run and gu. Levels are a blast. It also goes without saying, the art style is phenomenal.
I've gotten an A+ in one level so far (the botany one where you fight the potato, onion, and carrot) but other than that just a bunch of B and A ratings. The run and gun stage where you're inside the tree is really difficult. That's the only level that has taken me a good amount of time to beat so far. The difficulty in the game so far is just about perfect, I don't feel like its the game's fault when I get hit or die, its always been an obvious screw up on my end which is great for 2D platformers because I've played some where you only die because the game is full of cheap deaths and those games aren't fun for very long.
In world 2 there are two bosses, a dragon and a carny type guy, both of them are incredibly difficult. I'm always surprised at how cool every boss is and how creative every single transformation has been far. I'm loving this game.
I made my way to world 3 in Cuphead and the game is getting really really difficult now. Every boss battle has been a blast though and the creativity of all the different forms is really cool to see. The Bee boss in world 3 is impossible. There is so much going on that its really easy to get hit and the fact that the bosses don't attack in any sort of pattern make the fights much more difficult and force you to figure things on the fly and be reactionary. I'm really liking this game and I hope to see a sequel one day.
The deluxe edition is like $3 more, but it looks like it just comes with a bunch of junk like armor and stuff and my experience with "bonus armor" is that you typically find better gear within about 30 minutes of playtime.

don't get me wrong I love me some yen too, easily the hardest choice in a game ive ever made, but something resonated with me about triss. id just gotten out of a really negative relationship with an absolutely heartless girl, and the way she treated geralt so lovingly was really great. only later do you realize though yennefer can seem cold to him its still out of love but the way the game is structured you can experience the crisis point in the Triss line before even going to skellige, that could be the one flaw I could find it in its holiness's design. I know shes different in the books and what she did to him in the earlier games was wrong not telling him about yen. but geralt isn't perfect and neither is yen, no one in the witcher world is, probably why they seem so "alive" and real. I did love how they made either option work very fluidly and organically in the game, and it would have been sweet to have the jade empire option...but at the same time would have had far less impact.
Yeah, for 3rd parties where a 4k patch gets released, the X has the possibility to hit much better looking textures because of all that extra RAM and I'm curious as to what CDPR can do with the extra power. Differences like this are going to be very noticeable:image
They have over 100 games confirmed to have an enhanced patch, so there will be plenty of devs who support it right off the bat. When games are developed to have 4k textures and such on the PC then that's when the X will more than likely get the same, or close to the same, textures because there really isn't much work to port that stuff over. I think the Assassin's Creed guys (maybe Shadows of War guys, I can't remember which) said they got the X1 port running at 4k in like 2 days, so there really isn't a ton of leg work on their side.
I thought all games would automatically receive some kind of benefit and then of course developers could do even more with a patch
All X1 games will as far as performance improvements are concerned and any games which runs at a dynamic 1080p resolution is supposed to stay locked at 1080p. Frame rate is also supposed to be more stable and the console will increase visuals on a 1080p screen via super sampling.
Is your preorder the Scorpio Edition?
Initial OG Xbox BC list may have been leaked:
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Ninja Gaiden Black
Red Faction II
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
Grabbed by the Ghoulies
Dead to Rights
Sid Meier's Pirates!
The King of Fighters Neowave

I'm guessing they're probably still talking to Sega because that entire list contains no Sega games. I would love to see Gun Valkyrie, JSRF, and Panzer Dragoon Orta.
Gun Valkyrie had some seriously ghetto controls from what I can remember, but PDO is probably my #1 most wanted game for BC. It would also be awesome, but highly unlikely, to see some PSO with online. You could headline E3 with that one.

someone at MS is awesome.
Just seeing how good these emulated games look then these will work really well as a replacement for remakes, since I don't think many of these are getting remakes any time soon. Another game that's confirmed as BC is Black. I never played it but heard good things, maybe I'll have to give that one a spin one of these days because I think its a really cheap game still.
> at work so cant watch the vid right now but will be interested to see just how good

They look great. There is a significant difference in image quality between OG and BC to the point to where these looks like re-released games.
Looks like the X will be able to play 360 games at native 4k and OG Xbox games at near 4k. The only reason those OG Xbox titles are near 4K at 1920p instead of 2160p is due to the 480p screen ratio of that generation. Ninja Gaiden Black is an OG Xbox title that has a widescreen format and can display at 2160p natively at 60fps. http://thisgengaming.com/2017/10/23/xbox-one-x-can...
KOTOR is all I ever wanted or needed as a BC OG Xbox game. Now the circle is complete.

Frame rate is reported to be improved as well.

sick. love me some pirates
Oh man, if they add KOTOR 2 and Jade Empire I would have my OG Xbox trifecta and may never leave my house haha.
Good to hear KOTOR has improved because on the 360 it had some serious frame rate and even audio issues. It was so bad on the 360 I couldn't enjoy it enough to continue playing it and it's one of my favorite games of all time.
> Kinect is dead. Officially this time. Finally.
its about time they let it die in peace. go little Kinect, be free.
we have had the 360 for a long time, the kids mess with it once in a blue moon but we really don't have the space. I think that may have been a detractor for others as well, moving furniture, clearing space just to play a game that only kinda worked.
I still use mine for the voice features of "Xbox, record that", and "Xbox, take a screenshot", but that's about it. I tried to play a few games with it and really didn't enjoy it much.
Started playing some Crimson Skies via BC. Its a great game and how I've managed to never play it before is beyond me. 8/10 so far, I'm sure that score will go up after I'm able to start upgrading my planes and get further into the game.
I adored Crimson Skies. Can't wait to replay it
I can see Cortana still being integrated with some kind of Alexa or Google Home type device, but I think Kinect is done. They tried it on the 360 with lukewarm results only to force it initially on the One with "No, you just weren't using it right" type persistence. Now, I think they know it isn't happening.
