new Thread Description
This thread was originally created to encourage traders here at GTZ to do more trading, especially retro related stuff. It has turned into a lot more and I am so grateful to everyone who contributed to this thread and have kept it going for nearly 6 months now. I hope this thread will continue to thrive and everyone who reads/participates in this thread will gain some value or knowledge out of it.

We will still have Trade lists up here, though it's been a while since anyone updated. I encourage everyone to look over their lists and post updates.
There is also a section for gorgeous pictures of game rooms that active participants of this thread have shared. Feel free to share some pics of your collection or game room.
I will be adding another section for information regarding video quality of retro gaming systems on modern displays and how to improve them.
There is rather some extensive discussion regarding how to improve the display quality of retro gaming systems and if you are new to this like I am, you will find it very informative.

Old Topic Description

GTZ has become a marketplace where the most commonly traded commodity is brand:::PayPal. I want to start an effort to get some trades going and to discuss some good games perhaps you never heard of or interested in but want to discover/know more of. For example, I just got intto shmups after years of ignoring the genre and I love to discover new(to me) and rediscover old ones(Sonic Wings comes to mind).

No pressure here. Feel free to discuss anything retro. Perhaps throw out some WTTF targets and what you have to offer. I am sick of browsing people's year old Available lists.

Some examples:

- WTTF/WTB/LF
- What you think is awesome game/series/whatever
- Potential games you have up for trade
- Pics of what you have/what you would love to get/what you think is the bestest awesomest game ever
- Show off your latest finds/adds to your collection

I get to play with the red and blue plastic pew pews.

By the way, Strikers III on iOS or Android is fantastic. I don't know why we spend hundreds on home console pew pews anymore.

Screw eBay and all that drama, you should just have an auction here with 210 starting bid for the bundle. That way you would make more and have less hassle.

Well the bundle you're selling is decent and if @whitefire s auction is anything to go by if you post it and it's good they is gon' bid and bid high. i would buy it of course too at that price but I don't have money like that right now. That's why I'm saying an auction is your best bet. 210 is a great price point it's complete right? I'm thinking you probably get people competing and all that, have a 15 minute window ending time and people will bid. I haven't done the math or priced a Wii U recently but I think you'd get more than 210 easy. And they'd pay for shipping.

Won those projectors, pretty excited about it. Out now buying stuff to make my own screen. I'll be sure to post pics once it's all set-up. Probably going a slightly cheaper route on the speakers. $500 range. The ones wouldn't be a final choice anyway, so since I'm going for a stop gap, I figured I might as well pay a bit less.

I think if they fixed up the framerate issues in Sonic Boom it'd be a lot better. As it is, it's not awful yet, definitely more cohesive than Sonic Unleashed and DEFINITELY more playable than Sonic '06.

Sonic Boom is 2 big issues:
1. It's really dull
2. It's.... sooooo... sloooooow.

Also there's a litany of game breaking issues you can come across with enough luck.

Looks like the patch it downloaded removes the infinite jump thing at least, or I'm just not doing it right. Anyways, maybe I'm coming from a weird spot, but I've been watching and really enjoying, sincerely the Sonic Boom cartoon, so when I jumped into this the pacing all seems fine, I'm into the characterizations. I'm sure the less appealing elements of the game will wear on me over time but so far it's okay. I appreciate where it was trying to go and I think with enough time to finish the game, it might have gotten there successfully. Actually hope they consider a PC port at some time, I'd be all over that.

That's because with the way the game's set up, it has to redownload ENTIRE levels if there was any changes made to them, even if it's something completely minor.

That's the power of a good game. The power to make you give zero fudges.

Probably why they never did any real post-fixes other than the easy to fix game-breaking elements, I'm assuming if the game was finished properly it'd be easier to make patches afterwards, but this game was clearly about 90% done. I hate that they had to pre-render in-game cinematics in order for them to be anywhere near decent frames.

Verdict: I think I may drudge through it. Already starting to get repetitive with the stage tasks but it's STILL infinitely more playable and less loading than Sonic '06, this is a fudging masterpiece in comparison, even though it's far from what I would consider a Sonic game. I think they were giving an honest shot at taking the Sonic characters into a new direction. Frankly, judging by the incoming Sonic titles I'm not 100% that going back to the Generations formula's what Sonic needs to stay relevant, but at least Boom's failure got us a net gain of the best Sonic in decades, Mania blew my socks off at how solid of an entry it was.

Combat in Boom is way better than Unleashed, too, so iunno! In the echelon it's at least not at the bottom, it's actually got traction on several Sonic titles I'll never touch again.

Details are all games listed plus whatever PSX/PS2 titles I find that aren't listed, price is HONESTLY unknown, I'm taking offers at this point so if you're interested and have a price in mind, please PM me your thoughts if you wish for your offers to be secret, I shan't divulge them unless given explicit permission. Just trying to clear out closet space.

As someone who bought a 90001 at the end of PS2's retail life so I'd have a brand new one, why? Is it so you have the only model out of tens of millions that doesn't support Free MCBoot?

Messing around with the XRGB today. Nothing RGB yet since I am waiting for a cable.

Just trying out S-Video.

It's not playing nicely with my monitor. But tried it on TV, its fine.

I've had this happen quite a bit. Though 1 out of 5 is a legit reason. So i told them I will cancel and relist. Make sure to change your shipping address with PayPal.

Looks like my brand:::Nintendo GameCube endeavor was moot. S-video, even with the Framemeister, is subpar at best. GBP is decent but still not better than good ol' AGS-101.

brand:::Nintendo Wii with component through a DVDO machine is better and easier. I ain't buying a $300 cable for a system that's not even in my Top 5.

Be me. What do I play tonight? Sonic Boom, or Pokemon Fire Red on my gosh darn Recalbox? The choices are so hard.
