Well I'm new to anime. I've seen Rurouni Kenshin, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Yu Yu Hakusho. I really like all of those. So what suggestions do you guys have for me? Please leave a small description of the shows you suggest. |

youve really just started!
It would be hard to recommend something other than action/violence since thats the only thing youve seen. Youd probably like Bleach, Berserk, Basilisk, Samurai Shamploo, Cowboy Bebop etc. Google the info if you will. |

Based on what you've said you like I agree with Bleach and Cowboy Bebop. Really good titles for new anime fans are Naruto, Death Note, S-Cry-Ed, and pretty much any Gundam series (especially Gundam Seed, Gundam Wing and Mobile Fighter G Gundam). My personal favorites are FLCL and the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimiya but those are either you love it or hate it. |

Thanks guys. Some of those I've heard of such as Death Note, Bleach and Cowboy Bebop. I've seen a little of Trigun and will probably watch that. |

Trigun is also really good... you may want to check out these sites www.anime-media.com and www.animecrazy.net they are great sites to watch anime and I think they both have live chats on them so once you find out the types of anime you like you can name some and ask for people to recommend new ones. I'll recommend new ones after you find the types you like and post them b/c I like pretty much every genre and can probably give at least one or two good ones. |

I would recommend Dragon Ball, its significantly better than Z, your only problem is its unlikely you can acquire it. I got lucky and got my copies from half price books for about 15 each. But for the record Tournament Saga, Red Ribbon saga, King Piccolo Saga I, II, Piccolo Jr I, II are all pricey as hell. Especially the first two , i imagine you be lucky to get red ribbon for around 70 and anything under a 100 for tournmanet well yea. But quality wise its the best, it has the best story, good character development, it had not degenerated into prolonged battles just yet.
In addition to those already mentioned Outlaw star, Gundam Seed, Ranma 1/2, Tenchi, Crest of the stars, flame of recca, anything by miyazaki - these are movies but great nonetheless, Record of Lodoss war ova, many more great shows. |

Death Note is f'in addicting. If you like it then I also suggest Code Geass cuse its kinda similar. I loved both. |

Death Note however, in my opinion fizzled towards the latter half. Truthfully the new manga that the guys are working on Bakuman is so much better. |

Drew, don't forget the classics get into some Macross, Record of Lodoss War, and some other early ninties and late 80's stuff.
