It's finally Spring and GameTZ has a new kind of GameTZ Subscription with a special bonus for people who act quickly, plus some significant improvements to the matching system.
This newsletter contains a description of changes and enhancements that have been made to GameTZ in the last month.

New Three Year Subscription & Special Bonus
GameTZ is now offering a Three Year GameTZ Subscription for $55.
A number of people have asked me about this for a few years, so I'm finally giving in and providing you with an additional discount for buying three years at a time.
Buying a Three Year Subscription is a great way to make a big commitment to trading on GameTZ. It's also a helpful option for traders who often use subscription time to buy stuff from other traders or just to even up or sweeten a deal.
To kick off this new kind of subscription, I will be giving a Special Bonus of an extra 26 weeks of Subscription time to anyone who buys a Three Year GameTZ Subscription within the next three days. You'll get three and a half years for only $55!
I will transfer the 26 weeks to you personally after you make the Three Year Subscription purchase. The deadline for getting this Special Bonus is April 7th, 2004.

Improved Matching features
GameTZ's matching system has gone through a significant change. Internally, it works in a very different way from the way it has worked for years. A new, more efficient method is now used to find matches.
Because of this method, I'm also able to give everyone some nice new improvements on the matching system:
o The "My Matches" page loads much faster now.
o All matches between everyone are calculated every day in the morning. Match information is kept up to date automatically, now.
o You can now choose to get an email notifying you if new matches were found for you within the last 24 hours. The email goes out in the morning, after matches are calculated for everyone. See your "My Account" page, at the bottom, change your "Match Notification" to "yes" and click "Submit".
o Partial matches (also known as mini-matches) will now be indicated next to usernames on the site by one of two partial match icons.
These partial match icons work similarly to the match icon (red and blue arrows, crossing) that you see when you have a match with another trader. Partial matches show if you only have part of a full match; if a user wants something you have (just a blue arrow pointing to that username), or has something you want (just a red arrow pointing
away from that username). In all cases you can hover your mouse pointer over the icon and it will give you a tool-tip message to help you remember what it means.
Having this information at your finger tips will allow you to make trades faster and easier. If you see one of these match or partial match icons, click it to see a list of what you have in common with that trader. It's a quick way to give yourself a head-start to making another trade.
GameTZ User of the Month
The GUM for April is belladonna. belladonna has been with GameTZ for over 4 years and has traded with more people than any other user (668 Different Traders, 951 total trades)! Chances are, if you're reading this, you've probably traded with him.
Sadly, belladonna recently announced that he's going to leave GameTZ and give up trading. We wanted to give him a nice send off and awarding him the GUM seemed like a good way to do that.
Actually, he's trying to get rid of all his stuff, so now is a good time to make a deal with him. Check his page!

Non-US Flag Icons
You may have also noticed that country flags now appear next to some users around the site. The site now shows the flag of a user's country when they are not from the United States.
About 80% of the users on GameTZ are from the US, but there are many non-US users around too. Often it can help to know in advance where someone is from when you're working out a trade with them. This new flag icon is yet another way GameTZ makes it easier for you to make trades.
