Well, it has 2.5 months since GameTZ got moderators. With the conclusion of the recent "Guess the Moderators" contest, their identities are now revealed as well. I just had a few related things I wanted to say.

For all issues with the site where you are reporting a problem or need help, please email . In the past, I've had people email me directly, but that is now a problem because the other moderators will never see those messages. Mailing sends your message to all 7 moderators plus me. Actually, when you email your email message gets posted to a special forum that the moderators use as their centralize area for dealing with the many issues of the site. When you send to , you will get faster and better-informed responses. It will help the moderators all know what's going on across the site. I still see all moderator messages, so you'll still be reaching me. This also applies to the moderators themselves. Please don't make direct requests to them "in person" (in email, forums or in chat - any other way that emailing ). I have instructed them to ignore such requests.

Some people have asked what the moderators do and since this has evolved somewhat since we first conceived of them, I think it's worth giving an overview.

The goal of the Moderators is to make GameTZ a better place to trade. They do this primarily by enforcing the Rules. Moderators have a wide variety of powers that are expanding as fast as I have time to implement tools that help them better enhance the site.

Some common tasks the moderators can often be found doing include: Suspending user who violate rules against pirating, using multiple accounts, offensive language, and other serious offenses; removing bogus BTRs; voting on Complaints (with their higher complaint power if appropriate); processing simple requests to change the username or real name of an account; following-up with a user who is suspended (emailing replies to them and potentially reactivating that users account if the problem is resolved); researching reports of rip-off artists; and looking for ways to improve the site in-general.
