Follow-up GameTZ Subscriber-Only Announcement
------------------------------------------------------
The day has come, GameTZ is now a subscriber-only service. Since the
original announcement, the number of GameTZ subscribers has doubled
from 517 to 1050, and continuing to go up steadily. The response has
been great, thank you all.
There has also been plenty of feedback from users since the announcement
and I've tried to address some of the concerns I've heard. Here are
three new aspects of the subscriber-only change that I hope will help:
1) Limited Access for Non-Subscribers - users of the site who are not
subscribed will retain some limited access to the site. They can manage
(add, edit, delete) their lists of wanted and available items, they can
check for matches, and they can complete trades and rate people they
have traded with. They will not be able to see contact information for
other users, nor initiate a trade report, nor use chat or post in most
of the forums. This allows casual users to use the site passively,
responding to trade offers from subscribers while giving subscribers
access to their listings.
2) Non_Subscriber forum - There is one forum that will be open to
posting by non-subscribers, the Non_Subscriber forum. The primary goal
of this forum is to provide a place for non-subscribers to barter or
compete for subscription time. Since all subscribers have the ability
to transfer subscription time to any other user and many are willing to
run contests or make trades for subscription time, this will be a good
resource for non-subscribers. Here is a link to this new forum:

3) Account/Subscription Freeze - This feature is designed for people who
use the site sporadically (a few times a year), but then take large
periods off from trading. The Freeze feature suspends your
subscription time and account, saving it for when you reactivate your
it later. Thus, you can stretch your subtime out over a longer period.
Each user is allowed to freeze 6 times in a year period.
Also, to clarify a point that has often come up. GameTZ will not delete
your account (listings, settings, trades, ratings, etc.) if you don't
use the site or subscribe. We will keep it until your do return and/or
subscribe.
If you are already a subscriber, thank you. If you're not yet, we hope
you will join us. Here is the link again for Subscribing:

Subscriptions cost $5 for 2 months, $12 for 6 months, or $20 for 1 year.
Credit Cards and PayPal are accepted, along with checks, money orders,
and even cash.
This email is being sent to you because you have an active account at
the Game Trading Zone ( http://gametz.com ). Feel free to reply to this
email if you have any questions.
Thank you,
