Since FF is slowing down I figured I'd continue where he left off and continue to offer a disc repair service for GTZ. Keeping the same structure as Frank had and rules as they were great. Copypasta is as follows:
Now accepting PayPal * ! * (sent as a "personal" payment, under "payment owed", but for good reason. Was not accepting PayPal before, but with the "personal" option, it eliminates the 2 major reasons why - which are chargebacks on an as-is service, and paperwork. If you are uncomfortable sending gift paypal, just send cash, I'd actually prefer it. I'm only offering this option for your convenience.)
Prices are as follows:
$3 for 1 disc
$5 for 2 discs
$10 for 5 discs
Plus all return shipping costs, etc.
I can fix CD's and DVD's, GameCube games, BluRays, and every other disc based media (including Dreamcast).
That being said: Disclaimer: Like any resurfacing outlet I am not responsible for any discs I may not be able to fix (IE: No refunds if I can't fix it for some reason). If you send me a disc, it will be attempted to be resurfaced. This doesn't mean it'll work so make sure you check your disc for any damage to the top of the disc (the side with pretty art on it) or cracks/splits as any damage like that cannot be fixed by resurfacing the disc.
To clean the discs I actually use two machines to maximize quality. One machine costs around $1500 and the other is $2500. No cheap hand held crap here or "toothpaste" fixes. Turn around for your discs is approximately 3-5 days. This is to rotate the discs into my normal schedule of cleaning to keep costs down.
For resurfacing I accept postal money orders, cash, or gifted PayPal (explained above) shipped with the discs to be refinished.
Any questions? Feel free to ask. |

I have a disc I need resurfaced...I take it that it'll cost me $6 total to have it done since it's just the one disc?

Just so everyone is aware, I will be picking my resurfacing up in January again. In the meantime perhaps scavenger can help you.
I am curious what kind of machines you use. If you're not comfortable stating the brands openly, PM me.

One machine I have grinds the disc surface while the other using a heating method. I use the heating method machine to work out damage but the compound I use leaves a little residue on some discs. This is where I use the grinding machine (although not for the grinding but rather the later stage polishing) to make it look like a mirror. Neither machine is good enough for my OCD so I use the best of both machines to make everything look brand new.
PM coming FF. |
