If you want to give this game a less than stellar review, then you should seriously treat the fact that so many people review it so highly. The bare fact that it has received such good reviews from others, has sold millions of copies, and is still one of the most played games on xbox live (if not the most played; I'm not sure) should weigh heavily on your writing a negative review. Yet you mention none of this. How can you possibly have nothing positive to say about the gameplay? Since so many people love this game, you should expect that there are a lot of good things about the gameplay. If you don't see it, then either: you're not looking hard enough or are just biased (since, say, you just wanted to give it a negative review), you didn't play it long enough, or maybe your tastes are just so different from most people. But if the last one is true, then you should mention this in your review as well as the fact so many people disagree with you.
The complaint about the shields might be warranted (beats me), but I'm pretty sure it doesn't merit such a negative opinion of the gameplay. |
