It used to work fine, but recently I had to reinstall it for some reason, and it would give me the error that Java Runtime Environment 2 was needed, so I installed that, but when I try to install LimeWire, it still gives me that same error message. Anyone know how I could fix this, OR recommend me a different file sharing program (I already have winmx but it's nothing compared to LimeWire)

LimeWire and Aries both stopped working for me about 2 months ago

DC++ and SoulSeek kick ass. I've never heard of BearShare.

Meh .. I don't care for Soulseek, I can rarely find anything I want on there.
Torrents are the best still.

I still use Limewire, it's the only p2p that has not put a ton of spyware or viruses on my pc.

My old computer is now junk thanks to that program. They don't filter out the bad files half of the time.

Why not? If I knew I was downloading a virus do you really think I would have waited for it to finish? All I'm trying to say is I got a virus when I downloading using Shareaza, and I also got spyware, so I don't know how you can say it's spyware and adware free. It may say that when you download the program but you don't know until it infects your pc.

The actual program is spyware and adware free, I know this for a fact since I ran Spybot S&D and Ad-aware after the installation. However, you may be visiting certain porn sites or downloading certain programs which seem to infect your computer with complete trash but I can't see how that could be Shareaza's fault.

I have different programs for many different uses
WinMX = Music
Shareaza = Anime and Adult Entertainment
BitTorrent and torrentspy = special stuff YARR
mIRC and IRCspy = YARR again
oh and Limewire is a horrible piece of garbage that I wouldnt get

Limewire is the only program I have ever had that did not put adware, spyware, or viruses on my pc. All others have. Limewire is the best choice for me, it don't matter about anyone else.

Lies, Limewire does include Spyware
your system cant pick it up
they even out right and TELL you that you get spyware unless you pay for the software...

Sure we have. I personally have used 2 different versions of Morpheus, Kazaa, Shareaza, and a couple more that I can't even remember the names to. All of those sucked in my experience with them, and Limewire kicks ass.
