lol although i agree the league would prefer the knicks to not be crap......it's been just fine without them being decent for half a decade! NY and CA arent the only markets that count

Of course they're not, Texas has the Mavs, Spurs, and of course the Rockets. Only the Lakers in CA are worth mentioning, (oh btw, the Kings are easily forgettable as well) and basketball in NY sucks |

The Hawks will come back. Eliminate the Celtics, make their way to the finals and beat the nuggets for the championship. |

hahahah the great scalabrine as he was known in college.
following the great tradition of white big men (boys?) in college who never go ANYWHERE in the nba |

He was on the Nets quite a while back. Tall red headed dude. Made several three pointers (around 6 i believe) in a row in one game. Didn't ever do much else though. He's now playing for the Celtics.

lol. You can't hate em cuz they have Opie keepin the bench warm.. come on.. lol
It's cool to see them doing so good after their ridiculous slump. |

Ive actually seen an increase in white players in the NBA. NOT counting Argentina players as well as other foreigners, just plain white folk from the USA |

| | #18 posted April 23, 2008 at 10:08pm (EDT) |
Yeah they realized they needed to work harder if they wanted to go pro. Although...there are lots of white boys warming up benches. For every Hinrich (who's mediocre) there's 5 Scalabrine's. |

scalabrine had a big game in that crazy triple OT game against the pistons in game 5 in like 2003.......his best moments for sure

Also, won my bet on the Celtics to cover a -16 since they won by 19, and the Pistons won by a blowout as well by 17 |

And where's the proof in the pudding? L.A. has been good during that "half a decade" including being dominate for the time Shaq was there. How does that make sense? My point is that when neither team (you can throw Boston into the mix as well) is good, the NBA isn't flourishing.

Curses!
It's alright. I realistically don't think they'll ever win a playoff game by 30 since they'll bench their starters if the lead gets too big (and the Bobcats aren't in the playoffs).

wasnt there some game in the playoffs already where some team lost by 30? im thinking it was the wiz-cavs game.
((went to espn.com to check))
yes the cavs won 116-86. ouch |

| | #33 posted April 24, 2008 at 9:35am (EDT) |
That is a pretty brutal loss. Since the C's didn't do it last night to send a message, I don't think they will. Rivers has benched his starters through most of the season when they have a game or the conference in hand, so I would expect that to continue.

PeteKelly

| | #34 posted April 24, 2008 at 10:46am (EDT) |
Yeah, why wear them down when they've already taken the game. Let em rest. That's good thinking on Rivers part. |

You saw they had the Magic/Cavs as underdogs right? I did a 2 liner on the Cavs and Magic to cover a + spread. Im betting low on the Rockets as just a faith bet, i, of course, am rooting for them to win. I did see you bet on the Jazz regardless of your concerns they are a pretty big favorite to win at home with an almost double digit spread |
