in my defense, i DID bet on the jazz winning. I just wont be surprised if the rockets dont let the jazz take a 3-0 lead.
BTW: whatever i said about chris paul earlier in this thread....forget it. I got to see him play a lot more since then....and I love this kid. He's as dominant as a point guard can be. Really fun to watch, really makes things happen. Cant say enough good things about him. I wish I saw Deron Williams play more (although im a nocturnal beast, the games start too late for me to care usually) because I think he's an incredible talent as well

i think he'll win it but thats me.

no way that chris paul gets MVP. its pretty much impossible for someone that new to get the MVP |

| | #55 posted April 24, 2008 at 3:54pm (EDT) |
sure he's good enough to be mvp, i dont think anyone doubts that. If he gets it, he'll have deserved it. I think Kobe also deserves it, regardless of whether he should have won a few by now or not, and I also think that Kobe will slightly edge out Paul. I'd give it to Kobe personally, but you cant really go wrong

I think there's enough Kobe haters to give Paul enough votes to make it close....but we'll see.......when exactly will we know?

There are alot of Kobe lovers as well ya know, it's either a love or hate kind of thing. Both of them are good enough for it no matter what Kobe haters say he wasnt a selfish ballhog this year, nor was he in last nights game when he scored 49 points. I just think Chris Paul leading my Hornets to the playoffs with one of the best records in the league is something that he accomplished which i thought was impossible, he is also great to watch, so i'd give it to CP3, but i wont be like super pissed if they gave to to Kobe |

The only reason i say CP3 should get it is because, Kobe statistically this isnt his best numbers, and with his teams record this isn't his best season as a pro. This year may be one of the best seasons CP3 will have as a pro. Thats my only true argument in the MVP category, both deserve it. Think we could see a Co-MVP this year?
Why give it to Kobe this year, when he didnt get it when he averaged like 34ppg a few seasons ago. |

wow where do i begin with the errors in that post..
A) doesnt matter if this is kobes best numbers ever this season
B) doesnt matter if this is kobes best team record ever this season
C) i would assume paul is only getting better, not many superstars come into the nba at the extreme top of their game and then progressively get worse |

Jason Kidd said the big men must better understand angles to limit Paul's escape routes.
"Dirk probably feels he's fast, but unfortunately Chris is probably a little bit faster," Kidd said.
"We have to get Dirk to understand a little bit about geometry and look at maybe an angle or two."

lol its only his third season. hes got plenty of time to win one. kobe has accomplished a lot more than him and has never won an MVP. a 22 year old is not going to win the MVP award.
how many more ways do i need to put it |

Your not voting for MVP so i dont know why your still going on about it,
i said id like to see Paul win it, but it wouldnt bother me if Kobe won.

I totally hope CP3 wins and think he deserves it more. He doesn't have Pau Gasol for one. I hate Kobe but definately gotta give him props on that performance. He scored his over the top points but got 10 assists as well so... he did think about his guys. |
