true, however USA has a pretty good team this year and has been developing pretty good players. Too bad...you don't know what you're missing. |

that's part of our heritage...over 100 years ago when there weren't cars. Do you really still think our police officers wear red suits and ride horses? Maybe at a parade. |

Yeah but when US baseball teams play other countries they play using like minor league/college league players. Whereas other countries use the best team in their country.

Given that we have 32 million people vs 330 million yankees...what we have accomplished with our population is quite extraordinary. Nobody was asking to hear about the uneducated stereotypical b.s; America is so closed off from world awareness it's quite incredible. One person can tell ya that all Canadians say aboot and eh and "ya'll" believe it, yet Canadians don't think all Americans speak like redneck hillbilly's from the deep south.
Yes, we have ONE NBA team...hmm, I wonder why. Could it be 32 million people spread out across Canada might have something to do with that. |

The problem is, fans in other areas of Canada just don't care for anything more than Hockey and soccer. The teams fail badly outside of Toronto for some reason.
I really think 15 of the NHL teams in the US should be moved up here. Any of the ones in the South East/West for sure. No reason for them to be there. |

As a matter of fact the arent. Even in the olympics, boxing, baseball etc, they use amateurs. Where as other counties use their top pros.

So not one of the players on the roster is a potential player for the big leagues?
Wow, that is the first time I have ever heard of a country only using "amateurs" they picked up off the street for a national team. |

The USA Baseball National Team is a made up of the top freshman and sophomore players of collegiate baseball. Each year the team embarks upon the Red, White and Blue Tour to play exhibition games against various teams in the United States, including an annual tour of the New England Collegiate Baseball League. The tour also features traditional match-ups against Japan and Canada. The National Team featured many MLB players like Mark McGwire, Nomar Garciaparra, Troy Glaus, Mark Prior, Jason Giambi, and Adam Everett

Doesnt mention that they play against other countries. Those guys play in the league to play against other United states teams. If you read the 1st line, it says college players. Whereas teams like cuba nad canada use the best in their country. You trying to tell me that japan or cuba or canada would beat like the world series champs of the MLB?
