Seriously. It's the only way to make him disappear. Yes, he's going to come in here with his typical condescending remarks and try to bait all of us, but show some restraint! You'll just be adding fuel to the fire. In time his antics will bore even himself (as they have all of us already), and one day...one sweet, glorious day, someone is suddenly going to think, "Hey, where did Sheesh go?" And everyone will ask, "Who?" And all will be right in the universe. The fire will have burned out all on its own.
(Cue Sheesh's reply, but again, ignore him! It's going to be tempting, but we can get through this!)
(And mods, please don't delete this post. I'm not trying to start a riot here. In fact, I'm trying to start the opposite.) |

I've had him filtered for quite awhile now, though I unfiltered in that betting topic to see his replies.

Don't worry, guys. Since most of you (aside from benstylus) apparently don't know how it works, I'll write a simple
"for dummies" type tutorial tomorrow on how to work that oh-so-difficult-to-master user filter tomorrow.
You can thank me later.

I've been ignoring Sheesh for a while now because every post he makes gets turned in a post about politics and links and I don't like that. Making another post about him isn't ignoring him. I dont even know what the big deal is. If a stranger on the internet affects you that bad, then I think you need to get off the internet. Dont make the internet that important to you that because of one guy hes destroying your life in a sense. Seriously, if he bothers you that bad, just filter him. Or betetr yet, dont even post in any topics he posts in. You are just as much to blame as him when you make posts arguing with him.
If you dont wanna argue about certain things then dont make topics about politics or anything you think Sheesh will post in. If you cant control it, then filter him so that he doesnt drive you that crazy.

I see. Who decides if they "bring it on themselves"? Is there a special arbiter or something? Just curious.
Your argument is the same they used to make for rape or lynching. "She shouldn't have dressed like that nor invited me up to her apartment" or "That boy shouldn't have been in this part of town".

Agreed - if you're walking through the streets of Compton or the Bronx carrying a noose in one hand and a sign that says "I hate Niggers" (apologies for the use of the word, but please take it in context) in the other, wearing a full Klan outfit, and signing Johnny Rebel or Prussian Blue songs at the top of your lungs, there's no doubt in any reasonable person's mind that you're purposely attempting to incite people 's anger, and essentially, asking for trouble.
