Hi guys, I got a check in the mail a few days ago for $280. Is this my tax returns, or is it my rebate check that everyone is talking about? I didn't think I would get a rebate check because I didn't make more than 3000 last summer. I just worked as a waiter, I think I might have made around $2000 at most
Please help!, I am wondering if I should spend this money or just save it, because I just overpaid taxes. Thanks

Probably your tax return. I think the minimum for the stimulus checks is 300.

Depending how much money you made, if you make more than a certain amount they bring down the cash by 50 bucks per 5000 or something like that.

Well... did you file your tax return? If you had and you were entitled to a refund which would make sense because you didn't make much then this would be it. I was also under the impression that you wouldn't get your stimulis rebate until late June if you were receiving a cheque by mail.

If your under 18 and you won't get a rebate check because you can be claimed as a dependent on your parents return.
