I'm trying to take off some of the stickers I had on my Guitare Hero 3 guitar but I can't get the damn sticker residue off. Any suggestions on what I should try? Rubbing alcohol maybe?

Nail polish sometimes works. I prefer "goo off"

Rubbing alcohol should work for sticker residue.
Goof Off, Goo Gone, Zippo lighter fluid... all should work quite well too. |

lighter fluid works too, just don't smoke around the guitar afterwards.

Thanks, i'll try the rubbing alcohol. I would try nail polish if I had some, thanks for the suggestion though.

I use Windex and something to scrape it off. |

Goo Gone is like $2 a bottle and is safer to use. It also smells good and won't damage anything.

I get mad at GameStop every time I try to remove those damn yellow stickers from their used games. Sometimes they come off nice and easy, but then there are the times where they don't. It's especially irritating because they always put it on the paper part of the spine.
I'm getting pretty close to discontinuing my GameStop shopping altogether.
But yes. Googone works wonders for sticker residue. Sorry for the tangent.

I use Rubbing alcohol and some soft corduroy (kinda weird but the ridges help pick up the gunk). |

Goo Gone. Works great, easy to use, and it'll leave your stuff smelling like oranges.

Goo Gone is great - I bought the spray bottle. Same great stuff, less mess - even works on old Gamestop stickers.
Zack & Wiki is now $20. None of you have an excuse. |
