I'd leave it in the body of the poor sucker I shanked and ship his dead body over.

That'd be expensive.
In fact, I'm trying to ship some VW floor pans from Georgia to AL. It's costly enough!

The hand claws on that page are badass.
I'm not sure if this sword is real(as in it can cut your head off) or is just like a promo becuase it says it was used as a display.

Assuming this is a serious question..... If u buy a katana from a reputable maker or dealer it will come in a box made of wood that holds the sword very securely. It would be nearly impossible to damage the sword or saya (scabbard) during shipping in this box. Its also important to pack the sword with moisture absorbing crystals as they are sensitive to moisture and humidity. Also, you will need to oil the blade regularly to prevent rusting which is recomended before packing and shipping. To export a sword from Japan, you have to submit the sword to Bunkacho bijutsu kogeika (Art and Craft Section of Cultural Agency) and apply for an export permit. Then you can either send the sword via mail or carry it through customs in Japan.
