Runner-up: 4 years in Diablo.

ridiculous hours of D2 LOD. SNK vs. Capcom on the NGPC has at least 300 hours on it, around 80 on the most current game i started on it. And minesweeper has a lot. |

The Animal Crossing series. In just 6 months with the Wii version I put over 400 hours into it. I don't have a clue how much time I put into the GameCube and DS versions since they don't keep track of it, but I played them for over a year each so they had to be much more than 400 hours.
Also years of WWF No Mercy multiplayer on N64.
And Perfect Dark multiplayer, we played that much longer than Goldeneye especially because you could add bots into the matches and setup custom rules, and a lot of the good weapons and levels from Goldeneye made it into Perfect Dark so there was never a reason to go back to Goldeneye.
edit: and close to 350 hours of online multiplayer in Mario Kart Wii. |

I've definitely broken 1000 hours in Dragon Force (obviously not in a single game)
Otherwise I am pretty sure my original Disgaea save on PS2 is something like 345.

I bet Im pushing a couple hundred on pixeljunk monsters between theoriginal, the expansion and the new psp game - all of which are essentially the same game (its fair to call the psp version the definitive version - cept no online highscores . ) |

Same here. Diablo, Starcraft, and Diablo 2 took up a lot of my time. Diablo 2 I played until I couldn't take it anymore. |

I still catch myself playing it from time-to-time. When my internet goes out, I'll boot that dog up. Granted, by the time I get to Act 3, I end it. Act 3 is just annoying. |

Does the game keep track of how long you've played it? That's impressive for Fallout 3, with it being less than 2 years old. I'd like to see a screen of that!

A year and 500+ hours in Pokemon Pearl. Part of that was trading and battling with other people though, but a lot of it was training/breeding my Pokemon. Probably even more time if you count when I was on forums setting up trades / battles and didn't have my DS on. But it was the only game I played for about a year.

Probably had a good 200+ hours playing WWF Attitude on the PS1, 900+ hours on Phantasy Star Online Dreamcast, and around 200 hours on any number of combinations with Sonic 3 & Knuckles (yes, played through the game as every character a few hundred times).

I wonder how many of these times are just numbers you guys pulled out of your asses.
That said, without making up numbers, clearly Diablo 2 has been my biggest time sink (as I'm sure is the case with many if not most people who played it seriously). LotRO, Morrowind, and Neverwinter Nights are up there. The modding community for Morrowind and Neverwinter Nights made those games last for years, and I've beaten them many times over on top of that.

My longest game FILE would be on FFX, somewhere around 128 hours. Never finished all the side quests. I think all I had left was the monster arena.
As far as time goes, probably Jedi Knight. Used to be huge into that game and the modding community. Now I spend my days piddling away in HAMMER. |

Pokemanz Crystal - 300
Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Tara's Adventure - 200

Then there are others, like Fallout 3, Twilight Princess, AC: CF, that I've put over 100. |
