it powers up but doesnt read discs, Ive tried to look for a site to help me but couldnt find one. I wanna take this apart and see whats wrong...any pointers??? |

If it's still under warranty dont take it apart...

You could always pick up a new drive on eBay and just swap it out. |

I wouldn't, but mine is modded with a larger hard drive and XBMC. It would be much easier for me to replace the cd-rom. |

my personal xbox works actually. I got this one at a yard sale for $5. I know a massage therapist that will trade me 1 hour of massage for an original xbox. If u know what kind of deal that is then u know why i wanna fix this. Otherwise the saves dont matter :) besides I have a memory card if i ever wanted to transfer saves |
