Please help. I just ordered a new HDD for my PS3 so now I need an external HDD that is 60GB or more. I am willing to pay for shipping to me as well as a little extra for the help. I will send the HDD back the day after I receive it. I would like to get it soon. Thanks in advance for any help

I just found a 60GB USB hard drive today. It was my dad's, it's used, & I've no idea how to get it to work. If you want to walk me through deleting everything/anything off of it, etc., & will pay for the cost of shipping then you're welcome to borrow it =)

do you have a USB cable to connect it to the computer? If you do, just hook it up and make sure it comes up as FAT32. If it doesnt then I dont want it but if it does just highlight all the files and click delete if you dont need them

You can format HDD's to Fat32 or NTFS.. (http://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/form...) It is the same thing for NTFS as fat32.

I should have a 30gb drive I can technically loan you. I don't think you need a 60gb loaner drive...unless you actually have 60gb worth of save files. everything else can be downloaded again or reinstalled.

I don't even think you can transfer installs, and even if you can...copying it back via usb would be the same as installing the game itself.

BJB I'll hookup this external USB hard drive tomorrow & see what there is to see. I'll let you know what happens.

Looks like the HDD is working. I've deleted the files, "quick formatted" it & am now checking/fixing bad sectors. Since this is starting to look like this thing works I'll send you an official offer.
