Hello,

How many feet? |

I just need enough feet for patching existing wire. I'd say about 20 to 30 feet of the 14 or 16 awg. For 12 awg, I'd need less than that.

I do believe I've got some 14/2, if you need some. I'll have to check the spool and determine how much is left. Definitely have 18/2 but that might be more than you need. |

Not sure if these are to your exact specifications but I have 14/2(White) and 12/2(Orange) in:
AWG 2 Conductor, 105x34 Strand, Oxygen Free Bare Copper Non-Shielded Non-Plenum Speaker Cable OD: .228" Nom.
Might be a bit thick for your needs, not sure. I do have .186" 16/2 wire but it's currently unavailable (will be in about a week or so). |

Did you try monoprice.com yet? They accept paypal too. |

I don't know what a good bit of that means. I just need some wiring for my Volkswagen. I was told I'd need thin wiring (16awg to 14awg) for most of it (though they stated thicker wire was acceptable).
I may have a few places where I could stand to use a thicker grade of wiring (like battery cable size almost). I believe that is the 12awg.
I was looking at this on eBay, though it is marine wire:

Wire gets thicker as your numbers decrease for AWG right

o, I think we is talking bout two different kinds of wire? Judging from the monoprice site and their viewings of speaker wire.

As far as I know, no. I have a variety of wiring from 12/2 -> 24/4 to CAT5 that has a variety of sizes. I think it just depends on the type of project you're working on.

These are pretty much exactly what I have. About as thick as a typical extension cord is, maybe a tiny bit smaller. I do have stuff like 16/2 and 18/2 that are as thin as a phone cord though. |

O, I think I understand it a bit better.
The 2 conducter wire means that it is two smaller-ish wires in a thickly coated sleeve? And that each wire is specifically 14awg and such?
If I take a picture of the wiring, would you be able to discern which type I'd need?

I will be able to understand it better, yes. Can't promise I have what you need (most of my wire isn't used for "normal" installations) but I'm happy to try and help. |

are you talking electrical or speaker? thought you were talking electrical, but then...
anyway, I have a bunch of the yellow electrical left over from wiring up my house (adding new outlets, etc). it's the standard yellow wire from home depot for such things - white, black, and ground in a yellow sheath.
i have a pretty long remainder (min 20 feet i'd say, though i'd need to measure) and a bunch of shorter scraps which can come in handy (ie, the short distance required to add an external outlet near an existing interior one). |

I'm doing some automotive wiring. I don't think you guises necessarily have what I'm needing.
Never fear though. I just got a great idea. I'm emailing folks parting out their broken ass volkswagens, asking them for their wiring looms. Will it go well? idk
I just need a little bit of patching neewayz.
